    And much less annoying :)

although seems to have decided to take on the role of assembler police as of late.

Actually, I found out that emulator from a post written by nocash in PSDEV forums, but I thought it was interesting enough to be posted in PSXDEV forums as well. Not that I'm going to do this usually, but it was kind of an exception.

"Yes" would be the most accurate answer, especially after the latest batch of information released along with no$psx which tails has been using to fix some issues with lower level code.

I believe he is allowed to create whatever he wants to during his spare time (as if writing a page would take really that long). He's just informing people out there, even indirectly without harassing anybody and forcing them to click on said page.

If someone is thought of as such a moron, why further their philosophy and make it known to so many others? It's always good to call out a scammer, but why take the extra 6 steps to stoop down to their level after that? It's a waste of everyone's time and it's kind of an embarrassment on top of an embarrassment.

It's funny how every scene always has a hierarchy of "experts" (xprts) and the majority of people that actually get everything done within the aforementioned scene are totally independent of it. If you're purely interested in development, then focus on development alone and ignore anything that's irrelevant or false. Many people online are reasonably intelligent (or they might be savants, idk) but they only seem to be aware of their own attributes (whether they're actually worthwhile or not) and end up acting like pretentious arrogant douches to the point that it usually cancels out the worth of their knowledge in the first place.

The silent, pioneering, innovative homebrew devs are truly the only people that deserve this much attention.

Either way, it's a shame that homebrew development is 90% talk, 10% action, and a lot of immature squabbling that gives it a bad name in the mix.

We're all adults here, aren't we? I for one would like to see these boards stay classy and I think I speak for many others in saying that.

Who cares if it's behind closed doors, that's out of the forum and no one else has to see this shit with a miss leading forum title.
We are quite clearly two different people. lol

Yeah well I couldn't care less how good his SDK is, because his attitude and personality stinks.
Sure Haunted may not be the most PROFESSIONAL developer out there - but at least he's a bit more mature than tails has ever been. I'm not trying to get involved in the drama between those two but the fact they should take the personal attacking some where else. Just as EvilTaco said, we are all adults (nearly) and we don't need American Idol drama on the forums. The XBOX 360 section is no different, but please leave the bullying OUT of the forums. I'll just report the topic anyway, not that I can see it being removed at all.
    Clearly you're missing the point.

If you're wondering why it seems I'm defending Haunted it's because I see he has some skill behind his work, even if he is working in a team, no matter how basic or complicated a project is, he's working on it and hasn't made a "hate" page for a rival.

Think of it this way, it's like a popular music band, making a song bagging the absolute shit out of another band because of WHATEVER personal reason it may be. You know how that makes someone look like (or them)? Like a 14 year old bitch who hates another girl because of the way she looks. I just sense jealously here, not sure of what or why but that's how I see it.

The more I read this topic the more I understand that most people here haven't got it, don't know or do not believe the backstory, and are just posting to look intelligent.

Please point me in the direction where this maturity of his is supposed to be located. So far I haven't seen any at all and it gets worse with each new episode.

I might be wrong on this one, but here's my take on the case. This is based on what I saw on this and haunteds forum, as I've lurked there to see how the PSIO is coming along. This is my image of haunted:

    - A kid before his twenties, very impatient. Recently got his first FPGA kit, started flashing some LEDs and thought that he's already a big developer. He created his own website from a template, put in ALL his serious projects. The biggest two being a portable ps1 which he never finished, and the second one being his altera something which actually did shit, there was just a picture of the dev board lol. After that I saw him piss off people here because he wanted to start a project of a cd-emulator for the ps1 having absolutely no knowledge on the topic. People of course turned him down, as They're developers with serious skills and had some respect to what they do and won't be pushed over by some newbie who wants to get his wish done. Haunted got pissed, started his own forum and the project. Cybdyn joined in (DON'T KNOW HOW HAUNTED GOT HIM INVOLVED) and basically made everything on his own from scratch, while haunted was just saying how THEY're really going forward with the project.

Summary: Haunted found a sucker ready to do what he wants for him, and for free lol. He just gave the idea and markets what Cybdyn made as _their_ product.

That's my take, it can be wrong. I don't really care as peoples images can be subjective.

    My work here is done.

    Another example of Haunted's antics.
He uploaded an archive containing Runix (ucLinux for PSX) files on google:
    http://psdev.psio.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=198&p=1245&hilit=linux#p1245

    Nothing wrong, apparently. Apparently.
Some time ago I uploaded all of the Runix files I had on the runix-archive google code project: http://code.google.com/r/runix-archive
If one looks inside Haunted's archive, the files are all the same, except for howto_en.txt, my translation, which he "updated" and
for the "new" file PSXLinux-cross-tools-i586-old.tar.gz, which is an exact copy of PSXLinux-cross-tools-i586.tar.gz.
You know, just to make it appear that he added something.
Nothing added, but everything with Haunted's name plastered all over it. Haunted is obsessed with putting his name everywhere and
he would do everything to do that.

By the way, nice resume, xmog.

i'm agree - Haunted is not ideal in many things... he very often shows his foolishness... but this is his personal problem.

tails92 - where is discussion about your forum??? how could you call this topic "New forum for PlayStation homebrew developers" and still talk about him. you wanna collect fans on your site who suffer from him))) some sort of center of psychologic help.

It's more like.. try to code the 3d engine yourself and release it as open source so the scene can advance.
People have a life to deal with and they volunteer their time.

    EDIT:
    This is what Haunted solders:

The chip is soldered upside down.... and the joints are horrible.
Would you trust a person like that?
And to HexiGon, psytek, cybdyn (friends and fake accounts..)
would you defend a person like that?

Very thinly veiled sarcasm, cybdyn... as if the real reason I made the forums for were to go against Haunted. pfft.. the ones who should show proof are you guys and your "PissiPops" project. Everything I have ever made for the PSX is freely available for everyone to see.
