From my research all 20gb models are hardware backwards-compatible with PS2 games making them worth way more.

NIB 20GBs seem to go for anywhere between the original $500 launch price and $800 on a good day (Japan NIBs tend to go a little more, $700-$1K). It's hard to give accurate results because they show up infrequently and in low volume.

It is most likely the rarest iteration of the PS3 (not counting LEs). When used, they do not go for entirely too much at this point in time because there is a flood of used 60GBs online. However, backwards compatibility, the unique trim, and the obscurity of the model will make it a more valuable collectible over time.

If these are truly NIB and have the original firmware (as long as it's firmware version 3.55 or below) it would be so easy to install CFW. Installing CFW on those bad boys is as simple as copying a file onto a USB drive and installing it.

not all 20GB are Made in Japan though. In my experience, I ran into more 60GB Made in Japan than 20GB ones. Definitely love the all black trim.

I would say around $500-$700 for one. I haven't sold one recently but that was the price range I got back in 2011

CECHB00s Made in Japan are pretty easy to spot.

I've never come across any info/evidence/pictures/anything on CECHB01s Made in Japan outside claims and heresy, but they might exist.

Pretty sure all the 20GB models had NO Wifi!!, wired ethernet only. Still look very cool all in black though..

Yeah, they don't have Wifi unfortunately (it's the only PS3 model without it).

    http://www.ps3devwiki.com/ps3/SKU_Models

They use the same motherboards as the 60gb model so I wonder if you took the Wifi/bluetooth module from a 60gb model and swapped it if it would work... might need to do some firmware "hackery" I'd imagine as well.

They also have no media slots either.

that being said my 20gb launch machine (now with 2TB) is still going strong with no issue although I guess it's only a matter of time!
