I never had the time to test a great variety on the Saturn,

that said I was lucky enough to get my mits around Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG (SAGA if you like the western name better) as well as a few other gems like Radiant Silvergun.

    Don't miss out on those..

that said, I also enjoy "crap" like Bug! and Bug!two just because of the imagination put into the levels=)

You can perfectly play it with even the standard saturn controller, and it would be better for him since twin-stick tends to annoy the shit out of most people.

I don't think it can be stressed enough how much you need Street Fighter Zero 3, it's an awesome game with great depth that will keep you busy for months. Each console port is quite different when compared to the CPS2 aracde version. Both releases have character specific changes that can affect the way you play them and also general in game adjustments.

    Dreamcast

Has a few animation cuts and reduced invincibility during the activation of VCs during the V-ism mode which was useful for walking through fireballs and taking advantage of position. The character sprite sizes may also be slightly smaller when compared to the arcade version (not 100% on that).

Also the character shadows during the VC activation have different movement compared to that of the CPS2 board therefore allowing exclusive custom combos on the DC platform.

    Dreamcast character specifics -

Zangiefs kattobi cancel behaves weird and does not seem to travel as far when activated.

Goukis OTG link has different timing, which is quite annoying since the timing is very strict for this particular techinque.

Dhalsim, has a few altered hitboxes and decreased speed of a few normal attacks such as far standing fierce, strong and roundhouse.

Cody, Goukis air fireball bug has been removed.

Also, I think the second revision of this game on the DC removed crouch cancels.

    Saturn

The character sprites are slightly bigger in this version. Saturn mode reduces the size of the screen which affects how characters negate certain attacks, this can be changed via the arcade mode option but is not quite true to the arcade release. Less super meter is gained when attacks are whiffed and there is also slowdown during VC combos which seem to affect larger characters more, messes up the inputs.

    Saturn character specifics -

Cody, Goukis air firebal glitch removed

Gouki, the Z-ism super air fireball can be blocked whilst in the air :(

Rolento, Kattobi cancel VC is gone

Dhalsim, new crouching short in X-ism mode. Still has slower attacks.

Thats all I can remember so far but there are quite a few other changes, but really not that important. Grab yourself an arcade stick aswell, you need this game!

Assuming you have a TV with an RGB input of some form, you can build a basic Supergun/JAMMA Test Rig quite easily. If you don't have an RGB Scart input, or something similar, you'll need to use some form of video encoder, which changes it from a £20 project into a £100 one.

Also, Burning Rangers is fucking awesome.
