New Metal Gear coming

All I can say is, wow...

 

So did anyone notice the PSP GO! is supposed to have a new Metal Gear Solid game? And how maybe all this is about a PSP Go! game and not a console game? Rather disappointing to me. I'd have liked to see MGS4 on 360.

 

I would just like to ask: What's wrong with cutscenes?

The PSP one is Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker which is set in 1974. (http://www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?story=58971)

Metal Gear Solid: Rising looks to be a go for PS3, Xbox 360 and (at least rumored to be) PC.

 

According to the BBC program, click, the new Metal Gear game is X360 ONLY. Bit of a smack in the face of Sony that's for sure.

Are you serious? Obviously they take time away from the actual gameplay, and Metal Gear has been moving from "stealth game with movie-style cutscenes" to "anime movie with occasional gameplay" ever since MGS2. If I want to see characters on screen doing stuff I can't interact with, I'll watch an actual movie: they're way cheaper, and usually have a much better plot and better actors.

And how much is Konami going to milk Metal Gear? At least they're not rehashing the same game like Capcom, I'll give them that.

I like cutscenes....but yeah. MGS2 had some wierd stuff in it. "Here is mr. Vampie.....btw he's bisexual."

 

All of which are posities, IMO, when you're trying to ace the game first try.
