I'm afraid not. All the copies that will be pressed are spoken for. There are some who have ordered and paid for more than one copy though, no doubt to sell on for more money :mad-new:. So there will be a few on Ebay I guess for crazy arse prices. Shame on anyone thinking of doing that. Anyone doing that should donate some of the money they make to ASSEMbler for getting this made. To me for all the art used within this release and to The Russian hackers who got this to run on a retail Dreamcast in the first place. Oh and let's not forget sabre470 who put up ALL of the cash to get the Obi / Spine cards printed. Yakumo
Really surprised to see people being rude about this release especially given how much effort has been put in by so many people, I guess thats life. Looks nice and I for one am going to really enjoy playing it whenever it finally makes it into our grubby little hands. Neat
As summed up by Borman a few days ago http://www.assemblergames.com/forum...pinion-For-the-new-members-We-owe-you-nothing On topic: Good things come to those who wait!
Don't feed the trolls guys. The discs should be here in a week. I redid them using the dc official style guide. The obi is a giant pain for me. Cutting them is easy, folding them perfectly is not. Looking to see if there's such a thing as a paper folder device.
Personaly I ordered and paid for 2 copies but I don't plan to sell one at all. I will keep one copy in my collection, the other one will spin in my DC for a long time! :smile-new:
Buggy first level? The video that ASSEMbler originally did was on an emulator that couldn't run the game well. It doesn't look like that on a real Dreamcast.
It sounds like you have missed the whole issue with the first level (the boss?) only working on a prerelease dreamcast and not retail. You have to skip the level on a retail console apparently. Nothing to do with emulators. Dug up the thread: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?36054-Status-update-donor-feedback-only-URGENT
Without the fix from our russian friends it didn't run at ALL. AT ALL. It makes cpu calls the final dc doesn't have.
I am aware of the issue. I was asking as it was said in this thread it was fixed. Did you ever test the pre release bios on a retail machine? I know you have dumped it (you posted about it previously) and I offered to test it on a retail console (as we all know, I have plenty of blank chips to test) but never got a response.
No, I never tested it. The game runs albeit with some minor errors. I want people to remember this is an alpha game and it will have some issues. For example, the debug menu has a mouse cursor and wants some kind of wince hardware so we've never figured out anything past the level select. It's going to be a lot of hacking in this game, it has a ton of potential once people get their hands on it.
The early versions of REZ that go under the name of Vibe or Project K have the same style menus. I found out that by using a Dreamcast keyboard and mouse it was possible to enter all the menus. A few other guys really went to town and found alsorts of cool stuff. I have a feeling Geist will be the same. Yakumo
I've fully paid for one copy and believe I have a second attributed to myself that needs to be paid for but I've yet to receive of this factfacf. Between all of the pressing problems then health issues ASSEMbler had I haven't pressed the issue. Either way I'm not too sure I'd want to profit off a second copy. Better to keep one for mycollectionand play the other.
I don't even recall how much I donated... or whether it was enough to get a physical copy. I originally donated with the intention of getting it released and receiving just a downloadable file.
Apologies for the extra work :confused-new: There are some folding machines on Amazon, these are mostly designed to fold letters, the ones you can calibrate are much more expensive.
For the last time no all copies are gone I believe as mentioned quite a few times in the thread As for the pictures its looks really sick! Nice job ASSEMbler really looking forward to getting my hands on the finished product.
