Interesting. Seems like a entertaining a release might be tricky. 'Simon' seems pretty elusive.

Could also be a hoax. People on the Sonic Fan Games websites have managed to produce very similar efforts, would be worth the effort to make it that little bit better for some scam.

I would like to remain optimistic, but the words 'Sonic X-Treme' never instill me with confidence.

Well Chris Senn has released images of an alternative prototype before...it looks very similar to that build.

is not what assemblergames released, seems this are also builds made after that one, with the same base engine, and with a polygonal (and very GREAT) sonic, textures are cool too..seems this is from the last builds of the game ,, well,,,game...or tech-beta...

Seems to be a hoax, Photoshop/Image Ready file always leave a trace in the image file, just open the image 00000002.png (source: http://projectsonic.com/1/) in an hex editor or simply in notepad (in my case) and you'll get this.

Lots of garbage sorry, but these images seems to be shopped, why open them in photoshop/imageready when exports from emulators are perfectly useable as is

I could be wrong indeed but strange no

That's what I think however SSF emu already output PNG and saturn resolution is so low that you can send images to a website/blog as is. If you want to save space you would use jpeg not png.

I think the png file format is intential to lure us...

If it's a hack I'd still like to know how they did it, but for now I think it's fake.

I want to curse out loud, with passion. But I choose to say I believe the image is fake all the way.

    i think not.

why it has to be fake?

think for a moment, are you guys telling saturn can't handle hose graphics?? no way in hell, and think for a moment, think on the engine of the already released beta, and change the sprite sonic for a polygonal sonic, add some sprite rings and change some textures,,,that's it...just some months of work..

i believe those pics aren't fake at all, but hey, the source promised more pics, patience is free ,.. we will see..
