I'm using a 42" Toshiba Regza and a 52" Samsung for gaming. Both are LCDs and work great. Typically the price of a plasma at larger sizes is lower than an LCD, for instance a 52" LCD vs plasma can be a $500 or more difference. However, I would still go with an LCD. Newer plasmas don't require the recharging anymore and are less likely than older models to burn in, but there is always that chance. Also keep in mind that a lot of LCDs are starting to support 120hz now vs the older 60hz.
