New XBox Power Cord

It's a free power cord, and I'm a free-stuff whore (who isn't?) .

 

its probably negligible...they'd rather do this instead of getting liability lawsuits.

 

I'd heavily recommend using the new cord, have a look over on xbox-scene, it looks although the new leads are being sent out due to faulty power supplies, there's a trip switch inside (duh), so as to limit the damage when the xbox blows up.

 

doesnt actually prevent your xbox fucking up though....

 

would help prevent the (minute) risk of it igniting a fire.
