<<Image above added by assembler to fix some front page sizing problems>> Thanks for the pictures! So does anybody have a clue as to what the dev items look like?? I wonder if they'll be handing out that book this year's E3..
Lik i said in the thread i created before, there's this little rectangular opening on the front of the rev. Most people think it is for the sd cards and so on, but it's not covered by a sliding door or anything, but a removable cap that you would rather trow away (or lost) once removed, like if was the place for an add-on, or something. And what about those strangely shaped forms in red and black in the rear of the photo? Could it be the place where the DVD add-on go?
Isn't the Revolution supposed to be slot-loading? I thought the one you circled was a controller at first... but I don't see the trigger, so I guess it isn't one. EDIT: Wow, did anybody notice how huge the Revolution looks compared to the Gamecube in this picture?
hmm....its for e3?...yet its in japanese, one thing is for sure, if this is legitt, Nintendo has bodly trying to change the way we view them, that booklet seems like something more in a modern art gallery..and did anyone notice that black back, where therre is a small circle with what appears possible a famicom in it?...it has a dial on the side..wtf! maybe someone could translate what all the text says? I can only hope that this is legitt also, it seems a new animal crossing will be making an apperance..... ..i guess ill be buying a revolution too.. Ryan
It was either in Cahaz's thread or the thread in the website the pics were originally from, but the systems look to be photoshopped in. Notice how big the gameboy micro looks as well. It looks to me that the Rev is sitting on a stand and is vertical. Similar to standing a ps2 up and turning it to see the PS2 on the side. That would make it look much bigger also. And I thought I heard the Rev would be slot loading too. But I could be wrong. If anyone here can get something similar to this at E3 and can get an extra, I'd be interested in purchasing it. Although I'm sure a bunch of other people would be interested too.
The Revolution is indeed slot-loading. What im talking about is the rectangular opening below the slot-drive.
as for the origin of this book (sorry, i wasnt able to write after the pictures i posted without lots of editing and repostage) it apears to be a book published by Nintendo designed to recruit college graduates, and not things to be shown at the next e3. You can see on the Green this that it is written tokyo game show 2005, so this is old things.
I have no idea what those pictures are trying it say, but I bet it's something awexome... Like that Mario Kart schematic thing... I wonder what it means....
looks like its 1/2 DVD size - so maybe for gamecube discs - I know nintendo said that the slot would take both Gamecube and standard sized discs, but thats all I can thinik of for it
Wow, I did not realize how small the Nintendo "Revolution" would be compared to other consoles such as the PS2 and XBOX 360! Does anyone know any info on the height and width dimensions of the current design? I found this one pic from the original thread pretty neat:
