why bother getting an iPhone 5 when the iPhone 6 will be out in March then why bother getting the 6 when iphone 7 will be out next summer
Yes, the answer is iPhone 5! And I realized this thread had a terrible title right after I hit POST; but in the words of House of the Dead 2: "There was nothing we could do." And I'm NOT getting an iPhone 5. Not not not. I'm holding out for the Nintenphone3D. Or maybe it will be called Nintendial. I don't know...
...if it's the new iPhone, why the hell is this in the gaming section? I know you can play games on iPhones, but about 99% of anything that's not a puzzle game or anything else that doesn't require precision is shit because there are no actual buttons or controls.
I'll get an iPhone 5 ONLY if it's much better than the Samsung Galaxy and ONLY if it's jailbroken. As I've said, an iPhone without a jailbreak is a load of crap unless you want to brag about millions of apps, half of which are pure shit. Saying that, the quality game selection on an iphone is a million times better than android. Actually, now that a normal android app for tethering is released I may just get a new Samsung Galaxy once the minimal 2 year contract runs out on my 3Gs in February. Yakumo
Because Angry Birds is the best game of the last decade. And actually, if you don't see Apple's portable devices as a force that shaping online game delivery to consoles as well as the portable market in general, you have your head in the sand.
No really, the iPhone does have some very good games and I'm not talking about shit like Angry Birds or some stupid Plants VS Zombies crap either. The vitual control pads are now pretty responsive for action games. The amount of great arcade conversions alone is worth buying an iPhone for. Last night my son was playing Fnal Fight on the iPhone. He's only 4 but reached stage 2's boss!! I'll post a video when I get home. Remember, I'm not an Apple fan boy. I think all Apple products are over priced or crippled. Yakumo PS: Yeah, half a million apps is a bit steep but there are at least a few 100 titles worth owning.
Angry Birds sucks, and I have no idea why it's popular. And, yeah, I know it along with other smartphones is killing the handheld market, but that doesn't mean it's actually good to play games with.
The only games I've actually enjoyed on the iPhone are Cave's shooters. Those games actually work pretty well on a touchscreen. But I really hate games that have virtual buttons. The controls just seem really unresponsive. I need the physical feedback of a real button. And yeah, Angry Birds sucks. I find it fuckdiculous when people walk around in Angry Birds t-shirts and hats. It's like, "hey, look at me! I like the same thing everyone else does!" Maybe it'd be different if the game was actually, you know... good.
I had an iPhone 3 for a year. I loved it, then it hated it. So, I sold it. Yes, it was Jailbroken of course I would not mind an i5, but the thing is, this is my phone now I love old technology. It is the GREATEST!
