    One word :-D

And my point was not that EA should be charging 70cents a disc, just that it doesn't really factor into the cost of developing a game. And while admittedly the costs are rising in general, I'm pretty sure the market growth more than accounts for this.

I used to buy many new games at $50USD and up, but since the death of dreamcast I only buy stuff on discount $30USD or less. I just don't have time to play as much as I did before, so if I get a game a year after it came out I'm usually not missing much. Even if I did want something really bad, ebay always fills in the retail gaps. If publishers really want to increase prices that much they can go right ahead and do it. My free time shortens every year I get older, so I'll just stick to my $30usd or less plan regardless of what EA and the rest want to do. After all its just videogames, the PC sell plenty of fun stuff in my price range. If the next gen systems want to go in that direction, I say hello to the 21st century videogame crash (a repeat of the 80's when I bought atari games for 99 cents at ToysRus)
