NEXT-GEN NEWS : First PS3 images And Video *56k warning*

to resume the text on the web site, the game is called ''Heavenly Sword'' and is develloped by Just Add Monsters , subsidiary company of Argonaut , the compagny that made Kung Fu Chaos on xbox. those images are from the ps3 version ( yeah, Version, you'll know why .) , the title will aslo be released on ''xbox2'' or ''xenon'' (its your choice :-D )

the game is heavly influanced by Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time , like you'll notice by watching those videos (im downloading them right now , so i can't comment for now)

i personally don't think a xbox can do this in real time and i found this while searching on google:

i know xbox can do amazing things , but look at the dept of the textures and all the shadow/lights effects.

and remember that this is one of the first game the ps3 and xbox will see.

i downloaded the 34 mo video , but i can't read it on windows media player... :-(

 

The Eurogamer article was the original article.

In the interview they state that the game hasn't touched a next gen system.

Face facts, it's just more hype to keep everyone lusting over systems that don't even exist.

Those pics look good, but they don't look next gen quality. I saw a model from early develpment in an issue of EGM, and it looked better than those. Still impressive though!

I'm just simply sick of hype that revolves around "next gen" systems.

i don't think there's members here that trust\follow hypes , i dom't think there's any casual players here too, so we know how it work. like you can see , i've never said any comments on those pictures , well, i've said that xbox couldn't handlle this.

i've posted this as news , but didn't know it wasn't made by a ps3 dev kit at first.

welcome on assembler , where everyone is hardcore gamers and know we can't trust any fanatics rumors about next gen consoles.... like that rumor that say that the ps3 will have the power of 1000 P4 proccesors. we don't care about graphics and love old school games , we whant gameplay and fun. hope you'll enjoy.


but , let's face it , that's still pretty beautiful , ps3/xbox2 or not.

I agree with you that most hadcore gamers don't get taken in by hype. My main problem is though that 99.9% of people aren't hardcore, and they also aren't that clever.

People publish these things and the majority take notice - that's the point of course - but it does do damage.

If I posted images of things into a media that's widely accepted, I'd be believed by the wider audience. Take for example the favorite of the press.. the, "atrist impression" - the most popular, usually comissioned by the magazine who stand only to gain from sales.. everyone is up to it and loads of people believe it. So if I was editor of edge, or CVG and I printed this on any other month other than April - I could give this design to my well paid 3D artist and get wide audience beliefe (and bucket loads of sales:



It's another big dislike of mine tthat the audience of today and the modern gamers of today are casual as you like and as varied IQ and common sense.

Don't forget the most hyped items in gaming history are either dead, never lived or lying.

i wasn't taking this too personally (actually , you can see a smilley laughing and rolling on the floor ... so i didn't took this too seriously.) i don't really care what strangers say about me ( well, everyone from internet are strangers , don't take this personally ;-) ) but i tought it was a bit strange for you to say things to people that you don't know yet, that was before i read for a second time ! (sorry , that's seems a bit strange , but i had to read and wrote quick, i was going somewhere and someone was waiting for me. )
