The new Xbox WILL NOT always be online according to BBC's Click program. They say a Microsoft official has confirmed that the next Xbox will not always be connected online.
I think there was an article about this on IGN a few days ago. I believe the person who gave this information wanted to remain anonymous, and it hasn't been officially confirmed by Microsoft yet. We probably won't know for sure until May 21.
I think we all knew that, EVERY next gen rumor has been total BS. That said, I've already said where I'll be next gen. You'll all have my PSN ID in a few weeks.
who cares the next Xbox rumor I Know I will be getting PS4. Sony had never failed to impress me especially Sony exclusive games :encouragement:
Even if it isn't always online, I think a lot of the damage has been done. And if requiring to install every game making the disc useless is true, along with it using a far poorer GPU and memory interface between the CPU and GPU compared to the PS4 and requiring kinect are true(rumors), I know i won't be buying one. Microsoft only cares about shoving ads down your throat even if you pay for XBL(considering it takes up pretty much 80% of the available space on the dashboard), making you pay for XBL to access features that are free on basically every other platform(All the while still using inferior services for online compared to PC), not to mention the XBL store is a trainwreck for actually finding games. Let alone good exposure for Indie games. Microsoft doesn't have many exclusives either beyond the ones they pay for (Which said games end up getting screwed sometimes when there is a version made for another platform) and Halo/Forza. (And maybe some crappy EA games since they made a Exclusive agreement with EA for the next xbox. Probably because EA wanted to run Origin or someshit and not have to pay MS a cut of their digital profits in exchange for exclusive games.) Everything else you can get for the other platform usually or PC.
I have a strong feeling Cave will make their presence known on the WII U or PS3 soon. Having been with XBOX since day 1 or rather a month after day one, I've grown sick of seeing the Playstation get games that the XBOX isn't. I already know what my final 360 games will be, moving forward when I get my PS3, everything I get will be for PS3. Unless something really awesome pops up on XBLA.
Guess you haven't used the new PSN store, which is slow as molasses and impossible to find anything on. It's especially annoying considering how good the old version was, the perfect example of "if it ain't broke..." That's funny, because I've been disappointed in pretty much all the big Sony exclusives, the only one I've played and been really satisfied with was LittleBigPlanet. Uncharted: Started off as a fun adventure/platformer, quickly turned into a crappy cover shooter with bullet sponge enemies. Haven't tried 2 or 3 yet because of how bad this was. inFamous: It was OK, nothing special, but a special mention has to be given to the most unimaginative super powers ever: a regular gun, a shotgun, a sniper rifle, a rocket launcher, a shield and sticky grenades. Wow, how did they come up with these? GT5: A complete mess with horrible menus, extremely long loading times, about 80% of the cars recycled from previous games (and around 10% of all the cars are different Miatas and Skylines), lack of career mode content and a crapload of grinding. A major update released a YEAR after release was too little, too late. Wipeout HD: Meh, it's pretty good I guess, but F-Zero GX was just so much better. Heavy Rain: What a gigantic pile of shit this is. A lot of emphasis is placed on the horribly written plot (David Cage...), most of the "gameplay" being QTEs and a few "puzzles" so simple lobotomy patients would think they're too easy, meaning the actual portions where you play the game are barely more interactive than old Laserdisc arcade games. To add insult to injury, Telltale's Walking Dead game is similar, but with a plot that isn't shit on a stick so it's actually worth playing.
Why? Because 5PB decided to get a little more cash out of Ketsui by porting it to the PS3? 5PB != Cave
You have made me laugh. You just got a bad taste or Sony hater. Honestly you sound like you always want to bitch one thing to other . It just a opinion after all.
It isn't like Xbox first party games are too interesting either . Could be like me with a bias toward more overtly Japanese styled games.
Microsoft had killer exclusives in their first two years or so. They had Mass Effect, Kameo (which is a good game), Gears of War, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, Bioshock, Halo, Crackdown, Blue Dragon, Ninja Gaiden 2, Geometry Wars, and likely a bunch more. Then they went full retard and either lost exclusivity for most of the stuff on that list or just never did anything with it (Lost Odyssey, Kameo). Microsoft had a lot of potential at the start of this generation. They had Yukio Futatsugi (Panzer Dragoon Trilogy, Phantom Dust) heading Microsoft Game Studios Japan, Mistwalker, Peter Molyneux, Bungie, the Crackdown guys, FASA, Rare (who CAN still make a good game), Bizarre Creations, seemingly BioWare, Turn-10, Ensemble Studios, and probably even more developers that I'm forgetting. Of that list they have retained... Rare, who is now chained in a corner forced to make Wii Sports rip-offs for Kinect, and Turn-10. Fuck Microsoft.
Well, if it's just an opinion then how come you want to say mine is somehow wrong? Besides, the points I made about GT5 aren't really opinion, just facts about a badly designed game. Honestly, most of my favorite games this gen have been multiplatform, and 99% of the 360 and PS3 libraries are identical anyway. And having Peter Molyneux is supposed to be a good thing? The guy has been a joke for over a decade now.
The Fable games were good. They were not what Project Ego was originally proclaimed to be, but if you ignore all of that, they're still solid titles.
Gotta say I'm sold to Ps4 also. The same reason I like Nintendo: Sony understands the importance of quality first party software
@7Force: You're a fool if you think Rare is making kinect sports because they are "forced to". You could not be more wrong. Rare WANTS to make these and other kinect games because the profit is clear and very present. Why make a Banjo Kazooie platformer that may not be well recieved rather than make Kinect Sports Super Sportyness which is guaranteed to sell a million units?
Exclusive games, always online... All i can think about every next gen system is how many dead consoles will be in my storage room. I got 30 360s, including 10 XDKs, and it was exactly two times more (repaired a half of them, got tired of reballing and making new cooling systems so console won't simulate a hair dryer (like all fat 360s do very accurately, both sound and smell). Same with fat PS3s. So let's make a guess, which one will be the first to get massive failure pandemic, PS4 or XBox ?
I never said you were wrong, I said.... it is my opinion that Sony exclusive are better. Quite Franky, there nothing wrong with GT5. I own one since the first day. Yes it has a awkward start with patching and other few stuff but end of day GT fans are enjoying GT5, sure hell I did. GT5 sales is a successful and it has a good ratings and reviews by proper Racing journalist not by bullshit IGN. The fact is GT5 got way better now with updates. GT5 is not kind a game that you can finish it or rent it for a week you know. Plus GT5 is not for people who don't have the patience or appreciate for it. "just facts about a badly designed game" That is a load of crap I heard. I don't truly think you are a fan of racing. The issue you have is no big deal at all. You complain too easily.
