My Powerstone version for the DC run on all my jp, us and german pal DC just fine. I guess its a production error or so

 

NiGHTS debug code

The infamous NiGHTS debug code definitely DOES work, but what most of these cheat sites fail to mention is that it was only available on the very first copies of the game. It's likely that debug and full 2PVS options were removed during a last-minute revision of the final game code, which was delivered to journalists for reviewing but replaced in time for pressing of the retail version. I've never heard of such a copy being in anyone's possession, though considering the high profile of NiGHTS it's possible that some discs are still out there - this might be the only way to solve a lot of unanswered questions, and it would also be great if someone was to find the similar, multiplayer version of Burning Rangers as well...

P.S. If I remember correctly, the Guardian Heroes debug code was just as complex as that for NiGHTS - these things aren't supposed to be easy to access, you know!

So what you're saying is that the first batch of NiGHTS games in Japan should work with this code? I have one of the first batch that came with the controller or at least I hope it to be since it was 4 days bought before the actual Japanese release date. I'll get it out and try this code.

To access the debug menu in GH isnt as long winded as NiGHTS, but it is lewd in that you have to near impossibly hold most of the buttons, the cursor goes into a roulette thing you have to be lucky enough to hit it on the right option, its annoying as it gets :angry

 

I tried a lot of times and it doesnt work with my Japanese copy... I'll try with my US copy tonight (it too, works in my Japanese Saturn )

 

Yep, the code is a load of bull. I tried it with my Japanese NiGHTS which is 100% part of the first batch and sod all happened.

Thanks for that, Yakumo - it looks like that's another great Saturn myth that you've officially laid to rest! Now all we have to do is try and find one of these alleged 2PVS-activated advance review copies, which probably won't deliver in terms of results, anyway...

 

Perhaps the debug menu is still in there and can be activated using an AR code... good luck finding one though :-(
