You guys know that Christmas NiGHTS was amazing back in 1997 but now in 2007 I doubt it will have the same feeling. What made it so good back then was that it used the Saturn's internal clock (The first system to do his in games) to produce different results. Wii NiGHTS has a similar feature using the Weather Channel data. Yakumo
if an avid Saturn and Nights fan like Yakumo is not impressed by the PS2 port and prefers a sequel, I think there's enough evidence to say that older Nights players, including myself, are more excited about the new version than a remake. I like to remember the original as it was, with the "shit" graphics.
Dang! Looking forward to this even more now! (and you could consider me an "older Nights player", I s'pose)
 Its sad when one of the most anticipated games on a console is a game we've had for a decade plus. Its like being a gaming scavenger or something.
I just sold off my (scratched up) copy of X-Mas Nights (J) for $36. Maybe during the summer I'll pick them up for $5 a pop and resell them? Hopefully this won't ruin those plans.
Wouldn't you technicaly want the ps2 version since you can still remember the game with it's "Shit graphics" mode that it added as a feature then a meh looking wii game? Or are you just wanting the other since it's on the wii
The Wii version for one is produced by the same people that made the abortion that was Sonic Heroes. The other......it doesn't even take advantage of the Wii mote capabilites.
I remember getting Christmas Nights with my issue of Ultra Game Players magazine. I ended up throwing it away because I didn't have a Saturn. Now I do.
I remember seeing a whole stack of Christmas NiGHTS in a magazine back in 1999 (It was in a K-Mart that barely anyone shopped at). Anywho, i'm damn tempted to just mod my PS2 just so I can play the imported version. Does the flip top thing that uses the swap disc really work?
GOOD! Sega learnt their lesson about wanky gimmicky controls with Sonic on the Wii. NiGHTS does use the Wii remote but it also gives the option of using the numchuck to fly or use the classic controller or Game Cube controller for that Saturn feel. I for one am very glad that they never used some dumb control system Yakumo
