I'm still not buying it. As a rule of thumb, all Sonic Team games without Yuji Naka = crap. Plus, I have a real Saturn and Nights to get first, and that's more important than a Disney game which looks set to ruin my perceptions of the 'series' (ie Nights speaking, Sonic and the Secret Rings-esque missions, Wiimote gimmick, etc) Why are Saturns and Nights so expensive in North America?
The more I see of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, the more I see Sega destroying a great game. The more I read about NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, the more I dread its release, for I must buy it (see avatar), and sadly, I know all too well that this will not be a good experience. Edit: Actually, the more I see of this the more I really and truly believe that Sega should've just died with the Dreamcast and been done with it.
Mmmhmm. With a female voice. And a British accent. We all know Nights is ment to be androdgynous, but even Mr Naka uses 'he'. http://trippy.mspencer.net/jod/voice.htm Should I get a ladder for you to climb up?
That video didnt relly prove anything. For all we know it could be fake, or if not, it could be some sort of tutorial voice based on what was being said.
Well, I took it from nightsintodreams.com, and it was under their 'confirmed' section, so that's the best we can go by right now I guess.
I just hope they get rid of that goofy JPop music. It was a great game but that music was worse than Day-he-tonaaaa!
"Dreams Dreams" was AWESOME! :fresh: This news about NiGHTS talking is horrible though. F'ing horrible. And the voice... mmm... GAAAAAAAH!!!!! OH:
Nice to see everyones played this & gurantees its shit due to extensive playing.... oh wait I'll wait till its out & see for myself, it cant be any worse than sonic 360.
then again, NOTHING can be any worse than Sonic 360. I'm interested in this nights game. I'm sure with the original needing analogue support back in the day, that the Wii will surely suit the style of the first one. American release?
What are you talking about Daytona music is great, one of the high points of arcade soundtracks. Daytooonaaa lets go away (lets go away), daytonaaaaaa; Blue blue skies I seeeeee....  B Univ are excellent musicians. Nights music on the Saturn was great too, aside from the silly theme song. I'm not looking forward to Nights on the Wii as one of the great things on the Saturn version was the control methods and playing it deeply enough to get long chains. The Wii version with it's slight lag is going to kill the game. :crying: When you read a novel you make up the pictures in your head, you don't normally get large pictures of what say James bond is looking at, Nights on the Saturn was just like that to a degree with the voices lacking, making it more surreal. Once you start forcing everything about the AV experience down peoples throats it lacks something, I don't want to know what Sonic or Nights sound like as that adds to the gaming experience.
I'm also not too keen on the fact that NiGHTS will talk. Bad move in my opinion. I'm also hoping that Sega will give use the option of using the Wii numchuck to controll NiGHTS or maybe even the classic Controller since that has dual analogue sticks. Or will they just do a Sonic and the Secret Rings resulting in bloody annoying controlls that put me off even bothering to complete what other wise is a decent game.? Yakumo
Amen on that one. I have to hold the Wiimote like its stabbing me in order to go back, and theres a stop button, on a Sonic game! NO! I want a faster button! In fact, Secret Rings could really use a faster button, the game is so slow! But with it faster, the control would be even worse. Bleh.
