Nintendo DS Light , ways to play roms......how ?

hi members , i just bought grouchy girl ( mum ) a Nintendo DS Lite and Brain Age cart. If she happens to like it and want more games i don't want to buy more carts , instead look at hacking methods.

what ways are there to play downloadable roms ?

 

There isn't any form of CFW for the dslite so you are stuck having to buy a flashcart like and R4 or something.

IIRC There is but all it does is remove the warning screen when you boot the console.

I use an ACE 3DS+ on mine, they are about $12

 

btw dumb question .........what are the screen protectors like , do they restrict the stylus from registering on the screen ?

 

Flashcarts for the DS Lite are inexpensive now. If all you want is to play ROMs, they can be had for not much.

You can get more expensive flashcards which support emulators such as GBA and Super Nintendo if you wish (such as Supercard DSTwo).

As for screen protectors, no, they shouldn't restrict the stylus.

 

You'll need to use a bit more pressure to use the stylus with screen protectors. About it.

Iirc it ("FlashMe" I think) also removed the need for a "PassMe", back when those were a thing. But yeah, these days it's mostly useless.

 

Anyway, NDS CFWs can't be used to play ROMs - you need to get a flashcard.

Its not, somehow we all missed this. There are plenty of piracy forums out there, go check those places out.
