Haven't bought one yet, still waiting on a more reliable revision. Mario and Rabbids crossover is really tempting.
I've had zero issues with my switch so far. Very happy with it. Mario + Rabbids looks a lot better than I was expecting. Mario Odyssey looks great too. Hyped about Metroid Prime 4. I've actually gone 99% digital this time around. I bought Zelda on cartridge, but everything else is digital. I'm actually buying my digital games from the american store, as it's cheaper for me (in the UK). I get the eshop codes from Play-Asia $50 for ~£39, and then the games on the eshop are like maximum so far $60 (~£47). Arms in UK is £49.99 ($59.99 in USA) Digital. So, I'd be saving a couple quid. Not going to buy Arms though. Don't like the look of it to be honest lol.
Love my Switch. I haven't played it a whole bunch, though, as there's only really 2 games that are worth having on it at the moment.
I love my Switch. I got one on the next day from the US launch here in Brazil. Zelda was amazing and I'm having a lot of fun with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I also got Mr. Shifty which was a fun little experience, Fast RMX which I expected a bit more and Garou which was great.
I love my switch, but i have a problem being that i have a lot of kids, and it's basically a tablet, so it's in my bedroom. Daddy is the only one who gets the cool nintendo machine. I have Zelda, Mario Kart, Street Fighter, and when i get home today Arms should be waiting for me. Downloaded Has Been Heroes. waiting for their on-demand service to see how that turns out.
I am tempted with Breath of the Wild, the Mario Kart 8 re-release, Super Mario Odyssey, and of course Metroid Prime 4, but I hope it is not a Wii U situation where I avoid the console because nothing else comes to it that interests me. I never bought into the Wii U, even with a few titles I wanted to play because it just seemed like such a money sink for only a few titles.
Wow, I have the same feeling with XBox and PlayStation consoles, only very few games are interesting, so I end up never buying the consoles, and I'll never understand the kind of people who are celebrating platform exclusivity as a game's best "feature", especially if they are third party titles. I do have a big library for the Wii U, so that console wasn't that bad for me either. The Switch already has many promising titles coming up, can't wait to finally play them!
Don't get me started on the Xbox One and PS4. I still have yet to be sold on them even more so, at least the Nintendo consoles actually have stuff that I can't already play on the PC.
Really liking mine. Zelda's been a blast and I'd honestly consider it Nintendo's best game in well over a decade. It's not as free and massive as some open-ended RPGs but 9/10 times it has a really good grip on the scope it DOES offer. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is decent. Better than the WiiU version but I've still got my qualms with it. The online is especially frustrating, dropping connections as often as 3DS and WiiU games. Super Mario Odyssey looks ridiculously amazing. It's shaping up to be pretty much everything I've wanted in a Mario platformer since I finished Sunshine as a kid. I've gotten so sick of linear, dumbed-down easy Mario games. Also holy crap the forum is back
I'm loving my Switch. Like most, I absolutely love the new Zelda game. I haven't been this into a Zelda game since Ocarina of Time was still new. Being able to bring my console to my friends house, bust apart the controllers if we wanna 2 player in something is just awesome. Also got my 8bitdo NES pro controller synced up to it now, along with my pro controller I already have technically 4 controllers. I never had a Wii U, so it's nice to play the new Mario Kart, and I'm super stoked on the new Super Mario. Also, my favorite series is coming to the Switch this year in the form of Runner 3. It's nice to be excited about so many new games again. It's been a while..
Mario Kart is probably the game I'll get with the system, unless that Kirby is out by the time I get mine. I LOVE ME SOME KIRBY. Mighty Gunvolt is on there too with physical release. Tons of physical indies too. No more sleeping on Nintendo for me.
It's actually refreshing to hear so many positive attitudes towards Nintendo for a change lol. I do have a PS4, mainly because I'm a huge Dragon Quest fan, so I had to get the Dragon Quest Heroes console with the Metal Slime USB cover from Japan... But I barely play on it now. It's not a bad console, but, most of the games that are available for it just don't interest me.
I'm waiting on Super Mario Odyssey. Not a big Zelda guy and I already finished MK8 on the Wii U. I just hope it won't be another Wii U with the line-up of games.
I'm actually thinking about getting a Wii U, since the prices aren't too bad currently. I've wanted one for a while. The Switch seems interesting, and I might get one eventually, but the games aren't enough to make me want one now. Plus, it's kind of expensive - which is weird because, considering what we know about the hardware, it seems like it shouldn't be that expensive to produce.
While I do think the games and accessories are overpriced, the console itself I think is an ok price. I mean yeah, cheaper would be nicer, but think about what you get in a $300 tablet. They're pretty meh. On another note, they've definitely turned up the headphone volume in the latest update. A nice addition, I thought the headphone output was a little low before.
I was thinking it was $400, because that's the price on Amazon. Just assholes on Amazon doing the same shit they always do, I guess. $300 isn't that bad. Still, I'm not in a big hurry to get one. Maybe when they release a new Smash Bros.
