After spending Christmas playing Beack Spikers (!), replacing the controler with a pair of 21st century Power Gloves. Then a prefect cue for someone to release the worlds first "feel 'em up" game.

    Happy new year y'all.

  2. Yeah, but as we've seen with the N64 and GC, Nintendo design their controllers around that system's Mario and Zelda games. All other converted games have to fit around this.

Sounds to me like they are just loosing the Dpad and chaging the names of the buttons.

Yeah, Nintendo hardware exists to play Nintendo software, the fact that other games are made for said hardware is just sorta coincidence, lol.

Which, honestly, is fine with me. I'm perfectly happy to sit back and watch Nintendo go berserk with special-purpose stuff designed solely for Miyamoto's games. So what if I can't easily play Virtua Fighter on a Nintendo console, that's what I've got a Playstation for.

Where did the "Revolution" name get announced? I never found a good article on it at IGN or anything, does anyone have a good source of Revolution info?

Alright, yeah. Posted before doing the Google search. I admit it, I'm also the one who kidnapped the Lindbergh baby.

I'm lazy, shoot me :smt071 I'm actually pretty good about that sort of thing in general, won't happen again.

Anyway, this IGN FAQ is pretty damned funny.

"Will Revolution hook up to a TV?"

I mean, yes, Nintendo is good at coming up with wacky new (often cool) ideas, but I think someone is giving them a bit TOO much credit with that question.

mmm...why not something like sensors on your hands and fingers to control the game? a bit like minority report, but less technologic. ;-)
