NOA charity sent me a email about the auction I bid on,

I was offered the tour for $590 for up to four people.

If anyone is interested, let me know.

Hit me up on AIM, as I said in the auction thread, I'd be interested in two passes.

Well, this is just coming from the conext here...I'm too lazy to look in the eBay thread...

But apparently NOA had a charity auction that Assembler was bidding on...but I presume he didn't win...because someone sent him an Email offering him a tour for up to four people for 590 bucks.

So, free it isn't. In this thread he is looking to see if anyone would be interested on going in on it. I'm sure he (and many other people here) would like to go on the tour, but it would be a lot better to split that 590 four ways and have the joy of going with somebody else.

(Yes, I realize the stupidity of being too lazy to check out the eBay thread, but spend my time at nearly 2 AM writing this)

This is something I'd be all over except I don't know when I'd ever get out to Washington...and it would probably fall on a date I wouldn't be able to attend. All game companies should be based out of Ohio.

Indeed...Nintendo of America is Based out of Redmond. While you're in town you can stop and have your picture taken with Bill Gates.

Preferably while you are still wearing the NOA tour badge.

If I were anywhere remotely close, I would definitely split this. Hell, I would have gone to the UIST conference in Seattle last week and stopped over at NOA if I could have...

I'd go, but buying a plane ticket and whatnot pushes it beyond my budget. I'll check with some friends, though, since I know some Nintendo freaks.

Do you plan on doing this trip as a whole group? Or do you plan on selling off passes to other people?

I doubt I'll be able to come along since any trip like that will cost me $1k+, but I think it would be pretty cool to coordinate a trip with fellow members.

  12. And Nintendo of Canada is based in Richmond, BC :D

You should make up a shirt that says "I was sued by Nintendo and I can still afford to buy this shirt" and wear it on the tour.
