Wow the 3DS seems to be looking worse and worse the more we know about it. It looked alot more promising when we knew next to nothing about it. Though I can't be that surprised that the games will cost more given the increased level of detail. But then again PSP games didn't cost that much but looked similarly detailed, or atleast far more than DS.

I'm probably going to wait for the 'lite' version with better features and longer battery life. I won't be duped like the original DS owners were.

I've just been pondering over this very thought myself. Considering how many versions of the GBA and DS that were released, it's blatantly obvious that Nintendo will release an upgraded version by Summer 2012 at least. Hopefully by that time the battery will be able to last for a more reasonable 8 hours or so on 3D games.

Suppose we'll just have to wait and see what the PSP2 brings to the table.

I have a launch DS phat, US unit.

It's going to be really hard to resist buying a 3DS if a certain number of good games come out for it:(

Wow... if the US launch line-up =< the Japanese launch line-up, I will most certainly not be getting one of these at launch.

I mean I got an OG DS at launch, and at least back then we had Mario 64 and Feel the Magic, with Yoshi's Touch-N-Go shortly thereafter. For the 3DS there is actually nothing I'm interested in at launch.

I second that, in fact I think ninty already has a lite model in the pipeline

I can see some price cuts not too long after launch, but nothing drastic.

The only thing I like better about the DS lite is the brighter clearer screen. The phat model feels extremely durable (god knows mine has fallen off the end table a few times, once even tripped and it fell out of my coat pocket and onto concrete, but nothing broke), and the L and R buttons on lite just feel awkward with my larger fingers.

Afaik that's largely due to VAT and less what gamers would pay.

Here is the line at the Nintendo World event to play Zelda OOT 3DS.

There was a 100 to 120 minute wait.

Holy Shit! Has it been confirmed yet if there's gonna be any new material in the remake other than updated graphics any obvious use of the two screens? (long shot I know)

I think is going to be in line with the Mario64 remake for DS

Anyways, now we know it's going to sell like crazy over there...

Zelda had a lineup but I don't buy that. That's got to be the line up to get into the event (will check famitsu to verify, where that image came from).

-edit- (note, famitsu links, copy & paste them or drag & drop them into the address bar)
Yep it's BS. It's just the lineup outside to get into the event at the start.

There was lineups for zelda, make no mistake about that and it was reported at 1h-1h30m. But why to people resort to posting other crap is stupid.
Here are some indoor lineups to play. Little hard to make out where the zelda line starts though.

Well there's your problem. Never take what kotaku says as true. They're a crap site that post crap. I mean god you think people would learn after the user account hack not to ever go to that site again but... :banghead:

    Also,
The text in the bottom left of the image tells you it's from famitsu.
