NPDP Carts.

NPDP carts or slots on carts rather which are "empty" have an "empty" GCM installed in those slots which simply says that the slot selected is empty but you can boot it and that's all it tells you, so look out for that. If that's missing then it's likely there's something there.

 

Will a nodded Cube read NR disks? Or just to boot Swiss?

 

Modded cube wont read NR disks.

The only difference between a retail console and an NR reader is the drive.

Theres probably a way by injecting the NR reader drive code into a retail system - but no one has publicly done it

 

That's what I thought, as that's how it was years ago, I just wasn't sure if anything had changed or not. I wonder what the devlink usb adapter has access to, would be curious to see if Swiss could be loaded that way.

 

Thanks for the information. The "Empty" GCM overwrite the previous datas ? I mean, the deleting process does remove the previous data on the disk ?

Still don't figure out how they use the Devlink USB with a NPDP reader. I got my NPDP reader with a such cable plugged under the unit. Kind of strange.

Anyway, I still need to get the PC side ProDG software, as I only have NR Disk and cable.

 

Pretty sure someone posted it on the forum years ago, as it needed a crack. Then I posted a working crack for it.

You can boot any valid ISO from an NPDP, so yeah you could write a Swiss ISO without issues.

The keygen will make a license thats valid for older versions. The later versions have an additional check, so these licenses get rejected. My patches then removed the additional check in the latest version, so the old licenses work.

If you have a modded wii, you can use the various gamecube softmods. There are a ton of them now, but you need a wii to write the filed to the GC memory card.

So I wanted to report back now that I got my own things situated.

I received my Devlink USB in the mail the other day. and finally had a moment. I was curious to see if I could get it booting anything at all, to backup NR discs hopefully.

Only had a PAL devlink disk, but it booted on my NTSC TDEV


And what happens when I send an ELF through it? Success!
