NR reader region swapping (PAL)

Hes been spamming this NR reader auction "he found while hunting around ebay". . .

Turns out its his auction!

Been posting the link all over the place claiming he wants to find out if its pal or not. He posted it last week when it had just come onto ebay saying he had one but dint need another...

Just trying to get attention for the auction.

 

Well that's a shit thing to do, still, will it stop the board members bidding on it?

 

I hope so. Would you really wanna be buying something from a seller that spreads lies on a board just to post a link... I mean he could of gone the right way and got some trust and had a chat about the item.

Imagine the lies you might get when it comes to description, postage, so on....

 

i won't bid on that NR reader now...even if its a PAL one which i am searching for

but maybe he didnt even test it, because he doesn't know how to...if he can't even say if its NTSC or PAL he doesn't seem to be very intelligent on consoles

 

No idea seems from the ebay questions he had to be told what it was but then he goes on to say he purchased the unit him self. . .

Well, dunno if you saw my other post, but I did get a duff PAL NR reader, so my question now is:

Can I salvage the daughterboard and swap it into a regular cube laser assembly to make an NR reader that way?

Seriously, I don't know if the original GC IPL can handle the new drive without any modifications
