Coming to the Wii on the 9th April is what seems to be a 2D Action RPG in the style of Princes Crown. Could this be a new 2D title worth picking up after nothing worth while for so long? Check out the videos here at the official site. http://www.mmv.co.jp/special/game/wii/oboromuramasa/movie/index.html Yakumo
Ninja princess crown = wooo Glad you reminded me of this game, I completely forgot about it. So far all of my reasons to get a Wii are ninja related.
LOL Your asking if it's worth picking up!!!!!!. It's your duty to buy such a fantastic game, it's been on my must have list for ages i cant believe it's not long till i can finally get to play. One of the most beautiful games on the wii the detail of everything is rather special, never got to try odin sphere as it totally slipped me by, but this time im ready.
I forgot Odin Sphere was a Princess Crown game. I dunno, when I heard the name Princess Crown I guess I got it mixed up with Princess Debut and was wondering why you guys were going apeshit over it. Theres a few games where I don't mind playing as a female I guess, but an overly cute anime female who is also a Princess? Looks like its aimed at girls, but I've seen guys boasting on forums about how they have no shame in playing something like that in public, nor did they blush once when buying it... Sorry for going off topic there. Maybe its just me, but I think a grown man playing a game like that is a little creepy. EDIT: Oh, and speaking of the game in question, it looks pretty cool. I'll look into it when I buy a Wii...eventually.
I'm getting this for sure when it comes out in the U.S. I remember hearing several members here gush about Odin Sphere two years ago and I thought you were all being pretentious blowhards... until I realized it was I who was wrong. I picked it up last June during EBgames Gamer Days sale for $20. It's been a pretty epic ride so far. I've never seen such fluid and gorgeous 2D before. Muramasa looks like it will continue the trend of looking AND playing awesome. On a side note, Odin Sphere needs a good porting to the Wii and/or PSP.
oh yeah, I'd forgotton about that but then again that's on the PlayStation 2 isn't it? You know me and PlayStation 2. I know nothing about the system, not a single thing  Yakumo
Maybe you should get your head out of your arse and buy a PS2 and play some decent (and probably cheap) games.
Resident Playstation fanboy takes a jab at resident Nintendo fanboy. Who woulda thought? ***** Odin Sphere on the PSP would be right for me because I'm sometimes on the bus and even rail and those are long monotonous rides and that game it a good hour-long. A Wii edition would be awesome too because it could very well get that added attention that Okami did when it went over as well. (Not to mention widescreen and progressive scan. :dance
Yakumo is a nintendo fanboy?? Also PS2 is ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! BUT there are some goodies and they are definitely cheap.
I was exaggerating. Yakumo just happens to favor Nintendo's offerings while he dislikes Sony's stuff. That doesn't make him a fanboy by default. I agree with you on the PS2, but I doubly agree that there are some definite gems in there and that some of them are quite easy to obtain on the cheap, helped a lot by the large fanbase no doubt.
I was joking, hehe. Yeah, there is a lot of stuff on the PS2 I would like to go check out, hopefully I can nab a BC PS3 sometime so they don't look so horrible on my HDTV.
overstock.auctions.com usually has some 60GB PS3s up for grabs. This auction site isn't frequented as much as eBay, so it's less competitive, I think.
why? I've got more great games than I need. No need to buy more systems and games  Nope, I'm more of a Sega one, mainly Saturn but I own so many systems. Sega, Nintendo, SNK, NEC (PC Engine Duo) and at one point I did own a PlayStation until I sold it. I know PS2 has good games but I don't need or want one. I'm perfectly happy with what I have  Well, maybe a 360 would be nice. Yakumo
Because the way things are going, it's going to be the last console to have supported old school gamers (properly). Native RGB, low res, high res, and the most important: the library. Sure there's heaps of shit to dig through, but I'm about as big of a Sega fan as they come and even I admit it's the machine to have.
You own a Nintendo Wii, so your arguement is null and void as you felt the need to buy a new system and you've stated you would buy a 360, so again you arguement is looking very weak. I know you have a deep hatered of Sony and the Playstation brand but as the PS2 is stupidly cheap (you should be able to pick one up for less then Y5000) and some of the greatest games ever made can be bought super cheap you really have no reason not to get a PS2. I am sure me and Yakumo would happily fly the flag for Sega, I love my Wondermega and my collection of Mega CD and Megadrive games but even I can see the PS2 (or PS3 in my case) is a great machine with some great games and some of the best Sega collections on the planet. Fantasy Zone, Treasure collection, Wonderboy, Galaxy Force II are fantastic collections. Translation : I know the PS2 has some fantastic games, but I spent so long trashing it that I would look like a Tool if I bought one and said how fantastic the games are, I mean a few of the good PS2 games have come out on the Wii and I am happy to pretend that they didn't exist on the PS2. Still not trashed Microsoft and there are a few shooters on the machine that I could play, and I can happily forget the nice collection of shooters on the PS1 and PS2. :110:
