You know whats strange? Whenever I get an email about someone posting in a thread and it's Jamtex, the font is always in Tahoma. Only when it's Jamtex.
No, wrong. I don't want one, simple as that. Such as? I have Onechanbara Revolution which does have a version on the PS2 but that's about it. The DDR games are on many different systems so they don't count . In fact I had 4 on the PS1, 2 on the DC and now 2 on the Wii. Nah, I have trashed the 360 for the piss poor console build design but then again I guess most people have. I do have a soft spot for the 360 though. Maybe I just like the underdog? or at least in Japan it is.
I'm surprised you don't own a PS2, Yakumo. Maybe I haven't read a lot of your posts lately. You're missing out on a lot of good games, like Shadow of the Colossus for instance. Or Ico. I guess it depends on if you like JRPGs or action games, like God of War or whatever. EDIT: And I'm not trying to piss you off or anything, but if you like Princess Crown games so much, why don't you buy a PS2 for Odin Sphere at least? Is there a Wii port confirmed or something?
Let's just say I'm past that age of needing to own everything. I know I'm missing out on some killer games but what I don't have I can't miss  I don't even have time to play all the stuff I do own.
Everytime I play a PS2, even if it's an awesome game, I just feel like it was wasted on the hardware most of the time. I really do.
I see what you mean. I don't think I'm there yet, but a few years ago I'd do anything I could to get a PS3 or whatever for MGS4, and now I really only "sorta" want to try that game out. And I agree on that not having time to play everything I own, too. I've got several games I haven't even started yet. Actually, a lot of them are PS2 games. Then again most of them are JRPGs I bought just because they were JRPGs when I was like 16 or 17 years old, and now I actually don't want to play them now. Or I'm on a long break from JRPGs anyway.
I think in a persons life we have the urge to play more at times than others. A few years back I really got in to PC Engine. So much so that I have bought a collection of over 50 games in only a little over 3 or 4 months. I loved the style, the searching for never before played games. These days though I just don't have that same feeling.
THIS. I know this same exact feeling. When I got into my SNES sugar-rush 3ish years ago, I searched far and wide for those must-have titles. Heck, I even used a Japanese courier service to get all three Parordius games for the SFC.. cost me $50 which was like a small fortune then, but it was worth it! I bought a bunch of other shooters and critically acclaimed SNES games, but I didn't play through them all... then I moved on to obtaining Gamecube gems and I still didn't play through all them. It's a vicious, sometimes delicious cycle.
I stopped buying so many games for nearly 6 months and now i'm back to my old tricks. I've played a lot more in the last 2 years then ever though.
So true. My friends who refer to themselves as "gamers" are always bugging me to play the latest games. I tell them that I have the rest of my life to play games, especially in my retirement years  It feels like I'm re-building my collection in order to enjoy my games later in life. It's rare that I power up a game... usually Saturn... I just have no time.
Poor excuse, if you didn't buy a Wii then you could have saved a ton of money and still played lots of good game. Very very true, lots of times I can't be arsed to play anything and others I will go out and buy games as I have the urge to play them, the SFC I bought was on a whim and all the games I am playing, I do already have in a box back in the UK... but there are times when F1 Hero 94, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Kart, Ranma 1/2 just call to you.
It's called getting old (and having a kid). Seems the older I get and the more state-of-the-art the games get, the further back I go. I play Mame and arcade PCBs more than anything. I just bought a Wii for Mario Kart basically, and have had a PS3 for Blu Rays. Yet, my Sigma gets the most action. It is the perfect "system" if your gaming time is in 20-30 minute bursts.
Game get. The 2nd (and likely last) game for my Wii. Initial impressions: good luck reading this bullshit. Fun though.
I like it very much. Great old school 2D slash'em up with RPG elements. i can see it being a bit of a pain in the arse for those who can't read Japanese though. yakumo
Yeah, true. There's quite a lot on there that I can't understand. Still, the action and beauty is keeping me on it so I can't complain. I wonder if it will ever get an English translation? yakumo
According to the thread at gamengai, the US one is set for June 2009, and the European release, of course, in July... ... ... wait for it ... ... 2010.
