Yes Yes, we all knew DX was coming to 360 thanks to the partner net leaks but what is strange is ESRB rated both Sonic Adventure & Sonic Adventure DX separately for PS3 & 360.

So is sega maybe releasing both? Will vanilla SA be a port or just the game running on a DC emu?

I have those games on the GC, they'll play fine with the Wii and I love the GC controller. I don't see the point of buying them again

I have DX too but I think it sucks. Something just felt off about it vs the DC version (which I beat).

I'm more interested in seeing if this brings more DC games to PSN/XBLA. I'd kill for JSR.

That's funny, since the original SA was only released on Dreamcast ;-)

What was off was the framerate! They bumped it up to 60, but it was nowhere near consistent.

If you download MvC2 from XBLA it had the Dreamcast data files inside. Emu probably isn't totally out of the question.

I know that but it's not just that. The controls just didn't feel right either. As well the game just felt more buggy for me (and I hit some pretty nasty bugs in the DC version).

Yeah, I know what you mean, the controls were kinda weird especially at high speed...seemed too sensitive. And both versions were really buggy, SA2 was better in this regard because it felt more "finished".

When you buy the game you'll only have 'Sonic Adventure', but you can buy the additionally available DLC... then you'll have DX. So thats probally why they are being rated separately.

Apparently the complete Dreamcast files were just lazy programming, only assets from the DC version are being read/used. So MvC2 isnt an emulated Dreamcast game.

They should remake the whole thing in HD and fix that godawful framerate.

    But they wont...

DX only had updated character models and those GG games, hows that a DLC?

    Then why you have both?

I am a fecopheliac when it comes to games like Sonic. Childhood trauma.

    or

I just do, some sonic was better than no new sonic back in the day. It's not what I'd go on to call a classic worth replaying through though.

I think he is still pointing out how you said you have both on GCN which is not true or possible. You simply just have DX version as it's the only version on GCN.

There are differences between the DC (orig) & GCN/PC (dx) versions.

Definitely gonna pass on SA, maybe gonna get Crazy Taxi if it's cheap (max 800 MSP)

    Hope the emulation is smooth.

Plus i read somewhere that it would have higher resolution textures and so on. Those borders are pathetic.

I'm tempted to get Sonic Adventure, since i never played it that much.

Guess so...especially when they're just re-releasing games they've already re-released on a ton of systems.

Word, how expensive could it be to outsource some updates? like 16:9, HD textures and 2XAA, and that just the minimum one could expect.

    Exactly
