[Official] Resident Evil 2 Remake

Woah, nice. So many people have been waiting for this. I'm curious to see if it'll be like REmake or updated with RE4 style controls.

 

This year has been too awesome, shenmue 3, ff7 remake, yakuza 5 later on in the year. a ton of rare nirvana songs and now this

I'm expecting to wake up at some point

 

I still need to finish Claire's disc, might just wait on it now.

 

I'm hoping Capcom follows Shinji Mikami's lead with the GameCube remake and adds lots of new content. Resident Evil 2 was a class act nearly 20 years ago, and it remains one of Capcom's greatest releases.

Therefore, they might as well deviate from the original a bit to make RE2make really stand out as its own thing.

But it was coming, I could feel it. With Remake HD and Zero HD around, and revelations 2 starring Claire I figured it was only a matter of time.

They better bring back Alyson Court for the remake though. Revelations 2 skipped Alyson and some terrible actress voiced Claire.

 

Fuck'n A! Very excited to see the progress and of course to buy the game.

 

I hope we get a physical version here in the West instead of having to import it from Asia.

Now the question is: What's going on with the supposed 0 remake?

 

My understanding is that it's still happening as scheduled. In the video he talks about the RE things coming up and Zero is still there.

 

This is Capcom's best chance to prove that they can still do the series properly. REmake and RE0 really were the pinnacle of the series for me, so it would be nice to see them return to that.

Revelations 1 was surprisingly decent (aside from the plot, and the side-scenarios). Revelations 2 was okay, but honestly it plays like a watered down version of The Evil Within. Also, it had like... one good creature design, and they just reused it about six-hundred times.

 

The fan group remaking the awesome RE2 HD Reborn have cancelled their project.

 

My concern is that takes a backseat to RE2 and gets put on the back burner. I just think that's likely to happen given that RE2 will net Capcom much more than RE0.

 

It's possible considering RE2 is much more popular than RE0 and I'm sure the response they got for 2 far eclipsed Zero.

Being 100% honest, if it did get put on the back burner it wouldn't bother me much. Now if they had announced Code Veronica rather than Zero then I'd be getting crazy.

 

Highly likely to happen. RE2 will sell just as well as the REmaster did, then they'll move from 3: Nemesis to CODE: Veronica.

 

If they announce Code Veronica I will fanboy the hell out of every thread made. Now I just need to get a PS4

 

Won't these all be released on PC? I wouldn't see why not. REmaster was, but I know the PSN ones sold way more.

 

Here's hoping they don't botch it up by changing everything to be like RE5/6
