Is this still in development? So stoked when announced, but radio silence since. Seems like they had not even started production when they announced.
I suspect Capcom only ever announced its remake to give the impression they had official plans after shutting down that fan project... If this does exist, it's unlikely to be high on their priority list (especially as a well-made update to what many consider the best installment in the entire Resident Evil franchise could divert attention from the latest, very different main sequel in this much wider series). The lack of even screenshots during the initial presentation video or anything being released since then suggests it's probably not in development yet, though I'm hopeful something will eventually surface because of the potential for an absolute masterpiece to emerge from such an effort. Sadly, I can't imagine Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya especially returning to ensure it remains faithful to their original vision.
I just think they didn't want to steal the spotlight from RE7, i would rather they take their time anyway
