    I just figured out my problem. I was trying to load a Rhea SD card (into sd card maker) that I had made manually in windows explorer by just creating numbered folders. What I needed to do was start from scratch and click the add button and select the ccd file in sd card maker. Once I did that the images began to show up correctly. So I'll basically I'll start from scratch and only use sd maker to add images.

    Not sure what the heck you guys are doing. I found pre-patched Shining Force III translation isos with white belt google-fu (v17 at the time). Downloaded them and converted to CDI and slapped them on the Rhea card with the other games. They fire up fine.

    You can drag and drop your game files which makes it even easier.

    I was lucky enough to obtain a Rhea in the last batch... However my Saturn is a PAL, with 50/60hz toggle switches, and a modchip installed... Anyone fitted a Rhea to a modded Saturn? I'm thinking maybe just get another unmodded Saturn to fit it in just to be safe...

    I removed my mod chip but kept my 50/60hz switch when I installed my Rhea. But I almost never use it in 50hz, except for the rare PAL only game that requires it. Mod chip is no longer needed and you should be able to source mostly 60hz games now.

    I'm just meticulous and would rather patch a game myself because then I know the instructions were followed properly. I know most of the time they're fine but just personal preference. :)

    I agree I think everyone should just rip the games themselves and not use downloaded version

    That's quite an unrealistic expectation you have there. Do you expect everyone to be dumping their own cartridge roms and applying patches to those as well?

    sure why not with systems like the retron5 that basically rip the games to the sd card for you, or with the retrode

    Well, considering the retron 5 is one of the most convoluted ways to bother with emulation, not really helping your argument there.

    ok so got my Rhea/Phoebe fitted (it was actually Phoebe type 3)
    However having real problems with it
    Cannot get Rmenu to start up (although it did a couple of times, it now gives same error as games below)
    But each and every game I try just boots to the cd player screen and gives "game disc unsuitable for this system", this happens whether JAP, USA, or EUR game
    All games are CCD/SUB/IMG converted mostly from BIN/CUE
    I have one single line in my phoebe.ini - auto_region = 6
    Console is PAL, I removed the mod chip (easy enough, as it was connected to the drive system), but left the 50/60hz switch
    Phoebe updated ok with latest firmware
    No errors with LED on Phoebe, it flickers once during startup

    Can't think what else to try?

    1. Make sure SD card is a decent brand.
    2. Format with MiniAide or Rufus to Fat32. The two best formatters around.
    3. Use GDEMU SD CARD MAKER to put games on card. Disable menu, vga and region options. It will fail to add games with problems when dragging them across to sd card.
    4. Try some dark water and CDI games to see if it's the games that are the problem.

    Hello my assemble friends,

    since today i have now also additional to my GDEMU a brand new RHEA (yeahahhii).
    After few minutes of installation i was wondering as its not that proper fixed (how you guys fix it? thats its not shaking).

    But i have a different question, i installed RMenu and its working fine, my console is a PAL console, is there anyway to play NTSC-U or NTSC-JP? always get the error message "Game disk unsuitable for this system".

    my RHEA.ini in the roots looks like...

    open_time = 500
    detect_time = 250
    image_tests = 0
    high_speed = 0
    auto_region = 0
    auto_freq = 0

    also tried with auto_region = 6 (PAL) no effect. Do you guys have any idea, or something that i could add or change in my Rhea.ini perhaps to get NTSC games working.

    *EDIT* just saw the post of spacemonkey, hopefully you dont think this is a double post. For me PAL games and RMenu works fine. Just tried the Region = 2, this also not help in my case :(

    Thanks in advance,

    Regards,

    Auto Region needs to be set to the region of your system, i successfully used it for a while.
    If it doesn't work the syntax of your ini might not be correct, also keep it as simple as possible, no need to define things that are left at default settings anyway.

    The thing that jumps out to me is your "RHEA.ini" file name, the website says to use "Rhea.ini", syntax of the settings seems fine.

    Thanks my friend,
    you are my hero, it was really the name: RHEA.ini doesnt work, but Rhea.ini works fine. Region = 6, all games working. :)

    Looking back a few posts i think spacedmonkeys should be looking at the same issue, Phoebe.ini not phoebe.ini.
    Safe to say this stuff is all case sensitive.

    Another short question, for what is the Rmenu.ini taking place and in which folder? Currently i dont use it, because i dont find a way how to use it. The list of games is in the Rmenu.iso (List.txt) , do i really need to edit this list or is there any way for the Rmenu.ini? :)

    Thanks in advance,
