A lot of people force their opinions down other peoples throats here, but this is the internet, so it is to be expected.

It seems to me as though he just constantly refreshed Xbox-scene and reworded whatever was up there. I never saw anything useful, just information that was very easy to find if that's what you were looking for.

If so far we have only three bannings in the last ten years the site has been around, I think we've shown a lot of restraint.

As to moderation, I have more than one moderator.
It's a thankless job, and if people disagree, they can always send me a pm.
We don't hard delete topics, we soft delete.

    Strider was banned for
    1. Spamming (Posting 5 times in a row)
    2. Disrespecting members and rules (wouldnt edit all his posts to one line)
    3. Being Argumentive (got mad when someone tried to point him in the right direction)

yeas, exactly what i think. He posted some very good opinions before turning to the dark side...

The point of this is about respecting other opinions.

People are entitled on this board to voice what they want.

You can disagree with them, point out what you diasagree on and show your evidence of logic to the contrary.

It's perfectly fine to show someone is a jackass doing this. Their own statements are evidence.

    However... fanboyism.

If you go apeshit on someone , telling them they are "a fag"because of their view, that is just not acceptable.

Attacks of a personal nature, not relating to intellectual disagreement.

The only person banned was JTI2K, the others left on their own, or had their account edited so that their posting privilege was revoked (silent voice, read only).

This seems to be playing with words to me. If you're revoking someone's right to speech on a forum, then he have no better right than someone who is just visiting the forum as a guest. Why would someone sign for a new account if it wasn't for this right? removing this right to someone is like banning is member account. The result is the same.

No because i think some forums are hidden for guests. So we tease them with the marketplace... :)

You're the lethal enforcer cahaz, and don't you forget it ;-) I said that because it seems like you know all the rules by heart, and you usually play by the book. Not an insult, just a comment.

I think the only really crappy, spam topic you ever made was that thread about the matrix, and no one knew what the hell you were talking about. I think you confessed to being drunk when you posted that :smt042

I know. You can still find some of his earliest pages still online in some form...and he can be traced back through newsgroups even further. There was a mini contest awhile back to find the earliest version of ASSEMbler online. Twas quite fun, for me anyway.

Well i love this place and i like to help out but this place is full of shit i need to know. I think calling someone a fag for liking a system is stupid but i enjoy this place more and more.. it is like finding treasure when you dig in the forums.

Dont worry, that was just JT12K revealing his inner Sega Fanboy. There actually arent that many of them on here. Most of them left for the most part, because of a local superhero known as...AFM!!!:D
