Ok so like...who are Europe's Rednecks?

hmmm I would classify some Danes being like rednecks or hillbillys. In both positive and negative meaning of the word, so I will leave it at that. Cause the Danes will probably be busy pointing fingers at each other.

 

Australians are British rednecks. That is my opnion, I will stay with it.

Haha +1 to you. The worst I have come across are from the Middlesbrough region of the north. I went to uni there and the chavs tend to be really nasty from around that part of the north. Trackies tucked into sock push bike gangs, who mean buisness haha. Makes the London area seem tame.

Normal northern folk on the other hand are really nice chatty people.

The chavs in Bradford aren't too bad tbh, maybe it's because Bradford is so multicultural that all the mobs have people from pretty much every background in them. There are a few radical groups in the town, NF, BNP, Hamas, etc, but TBH supporters are few and far between. There was an EDL march through the city centre the other weekend and no fights or riots started, kinda proves Bradford didn't really want the march in the first place.

Chavs from other areas are terrible though, especially Newcastle and Liverpool. I have family in both towns and they're always moaning about the dumb-asses in the areas :nod:.

If you mean racist, overly religious, uneducated poor people then you could also say a sizable part of the black population of south LA are rednecks, since they're mostly uneducated, almost endemically poor, racist (they hate latinos the same way rednecks hate blacks) and go to church all the time.

I've talked with latinos and they all have their views: Mexicans tell me the bad image they have in the US is because only their 'rednecks' cross the border, while the educated Mexicans stay in Mexico. Then theres the nationality thing: some Argentinean dude told me their rednecks were mostly Chilean immigrants, while this girl from Chile told me the rednecks in her country were all Peruvian.

Mexican rednecks are fucking scary, too. I live in one of the traditional manly and catholic states in Mexico, and I can tell you - there's a level of illiteracy, intolerance, and overall asshattery here that cannot be fathomed. You know, the fuckers with the big trucks, loud shitty "music" and selfish, aggressive and abusive attitudes.

Many people from Guadalajara are also very selfish and greedy, and at the same time elitist and low-culture/low-class. I have been discriminated against in many manners and I find it very, very unsettling. There's some sort of "free-market, money first, fuck everyone else" attitude that's made Mexico a living hell for some.

It's a cultural thing, and it's disappearing little by little, but every now and then you get little surprises that erase all faith in mankind.

Like, for example, the other day, my mother told be about the girl I'm dating: "You should probably date someone from your own class" (socially speaking, or economically speaking) - only, it seems, because she is very dark-skinned and comes from a poorer side of town.

I mean, come on, my mom's educated and as liberal as they come! Where the fuck did THAT come from?

There's an incarnate redneckishness in all people from Guadalajara, it seems.

And don't get me started with Banda (That horrible Mexican country music that mexican rednecks listen to). Man, I'd rather circumcise myself with a rusted nail than listen to that shit willingly.

 

I was young when i lived in mexico, but from what i remember the lighter your skin is, the better people treat you.... of course that shit don't matter if you're loaded.
