If its on a allmost weekly basis I have to say Doom 1/2 , it might not be that old but its on just about every device I own so if I have a few minutes to spare I normally waste it on doom. older than that , Super mario brothers gets some time once a month or so. Edit: Ohhh forgot to add sonic 2 on the MD :/
Any Mega Drive game I can pick up at any time and have hours of fun. Definitive answer is Streets Of Rage 2 or Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Sonic CD I believe. (Windows version) I don't have a Mega Drive, so Sonic The Hedgehog in Sonic JAM may be the older one if this is valid. But thinking about Sonic CD, it's from 95 for Windows, so maybe Daytona USA in the Saturn is a bit older.
Doom 1/2 and Blood, I love playing old games that barely have a story, that means no dialogue, almost no cutscenes, etc. It's just the game.
I just looked at your post, blinked about 20 times and then my brain rebooted. I don't like you anymore. :crying: Tricky question as I don't play many games often anymore. I suppose Sonic 1 might count but I load up MAME often enough for 80s era titles usually hitting up the same few over and over such as Space Harrier.
Here's a few classic arcade titles I've been recently playing in MAME: Arkanoid - The Revenge Of Doh Crystal Castles Contra Flying Shark Green Beret Jail Break Karnov Legend Of Kage Mag Max Slap Fight P.S. Does anyone else find Karnov a stupidly difficult game?
Can't recall any game I play all the time lately. I used to play Mega Man 2 all the time years ago. For awhile I used to play through it once every day almost never missing a day.
well seeing as im still relativity young (1992) theres some older stuff i play a bit super mario bros (1985) tetris 1989 crash bandacoot 1,2,3, CRT (1994-9) 'first videogame i played, still love it to this day' Pokemon Yellow, Gold, Ruby croc 1999 spiro 1, 2, 3 half life 1, 2 halo ce, 2 cant think of any thing else i still play :/
bah, you young uns should be banned from playing video games until you are 30 and even then you should be forced to take an exam, you don't know a good old game if it came up to you and beeped. [/grumpy old man]
I remember buying these and playing them with my wife who at the time was heavily pregnant and not my wife yet ......they still seem relatively "new" to me xD The games I play most frequently are starfront, and space invaders on my iPhone.
Actually, that reminds me of a few years back when I was filling in an application form to work at a local games store, and one of the sections asked me what the name of Atari's final console was... I didn't just answer correctly, but ended up educating their assistant manager (who I presume was responsible for selecting the best applicant) by including a quick paragraph about how the lead designer of Fight For Life on the Atari Jaguar was none other than one of the system programmers on the original arcade version of Virtua Fighter! At my second interview, he even told me how some people answered that question with such responses as "what's Atari?" or even "PlayStation." While impressed with my knowledge, previous retail experience and enthusiasm for the job, in the end I chose to work elsewhere due to better pay. Besides, sales was never really my calling in life and has only ever been used to help fund other endeavours, including the furthering of studies I was forced to cut short in the past due to personal issues. Right, who wants to steer this thread on topic again?
