http://blogs.sega.com/2012/02/23/guess-whos-back/#more-12966 It's about damn ****ing time! Now if only sega would also make these DC ports for 3DS & Vita along with PS3/360.
*joins Subbie in a prayer the original soundtrack is retained* Another megaton RIVAL SCHOOLS IS COMING TO JPN PSN !!!! An awesome day !!!
It's already out. I bought it last night. Now if only sony would hurry up on Ps1 support for Vita. =( http://www.jp.playstation.com/software/title/jp0102npjj00627_000000000000000001.html Harmful Park also came out on psn. http://www.jp.playstation.com/software/title/jp0047npjj00629_000000000000000001.html
Well, I thought it said Megatron... Is Rival Schools coming to other PSNs? Probably not the European one, since the PS1 selection really sucks. And Harmful Park? Holy shit, I probably need Japanese PSN points.
I dont know if I should be happy or disappointed that it's not a brand-new JSR 10 years guys, thats a lot of time since JSRF came out Anyway, I just hope it's true 16:9 and not with those fugly bars.
The teams who made JSR are long gone by now. So I'm not sure I trust anybody to make a reasonable entry into the series. I'd love it if this some how led to a port of Ollie King (Arcade game by the same team). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ollie_King
At first I was really happy but now.... You see, the original Jet Set Radio still looks great on a Dreamcast and even better on a Dreamcast through VGA. You just know that this version is going to be compromised in some way or other.
The fact that it will cost 1600 microsoft points has killed it for me, they can seriously GTFO if they think im paying that for a game of that age.
Wow, just got this game for the dreamcast and paid less tham that for an almost mint copy complete. Read couple days ago that Nintendo want to revitalise some franchises from Sega too, like Seaman
Where'd you get 1600 MS points from? I can't find any source for that. In fact, nothing mentions any price info at all.
Given the soundtrack had multiple artists, I'd imagine licensing might be an issue. I really, really, REALLY hope it isn't.
Sega didn't own the music in crazy taxi - it was all offspring and bad religion. By contrast, Sega owns the vast majority of the music from JSR and JSRF. And, given the way they handled both Daytona USA and Sonic CD, they appear more than willing to license music. ESPECIALLY for a series with as iconic music as JSR. Also, to the guy who said the teams which made JSR are gone - not true. Many of the members who made JSR are still at sega. They're now known as Sega Sports R&D, and they make the Mario & Sonic olympic games.
Best game on the Dreamcast! I hope it is based on the second version (western release). I will only buy if it has the original sound track.
