Engineer is such a great class. Even a total TF2 noob could greatly help his team by taking another engineers teleporter, and making another dispenser and teleporter close to his buddy engies dispenser...of course with total engie noobs their number one priority is building a sentry and stealing all the metal in the area to tech it up, and its more than likely in a shitty easily spammable spot. Japan-Games, you might like the PC version...sure its been tweaked a TON since the 360 version, but its also a lot more balanced. Pyro I believe sucks ass on the 360 version, on the PC version he now can use something called "Compression blast" (actually, he's had it a while) and he can use it to blow ubers away, stickies away, and blowing fire off teammates. In the 360 version I think he just is holding up on the thumbstick while holding down the fire key....and thats it....in the PC version they actually are credit to team! ...As Heavy would say. Dispensers and teleporters can also be upgraded to tier 3 now. Tier 3 teleporters are insane. They recharge totally in like 1.5 seconds. 3 of those is enough to keep your teammates constantly up on the front lines...and tier 3 dispensers = Roughly the healing rate of a medic, refill metal and ammo faster...several of them together almost is like a forward resupply area. Demoman has been nerfed a LOT, but thats mainly because he's broken to hell and back in the console version. And still, he can wreck a whole engie setup with just TWO grenades...
I've always wondered this about the 360 version of TF2. Can you plug in a mouse and keyboard and play the game like that? I guess I never really understood how anyone could stand to play a FPS with a controller. Take Bioshock for instance. The game is great, but is incredibly easy on the PC, I kinda assumed that was due to the fact that it was designed for a console control setup. Although, the game could just be easy I'd post TF2 screens too, if I didn't suck at TF2. I'm a badass medic though!
Just finished another game.... 100 kills, 29 assists 23 deaths 16 dominations What sucks is that I lost a domination which is what put me back into respawn....heh
During the setup period if I'm not an engineer I follow one of them out and then kill myself right next to him when he's building his sentry so he gets the metal. You have enough time to respawn and make it back to the front again before the gates open. If you can get a couple of guys to do that then the sentries can get built fast without a shortage of metal. Sometimes on the 3rd map I put a sentry on the ledge that hangs over the cave exit. If you're exiting the cave and going into the canyon it's the ledge above you on the right. The sentry overlooks the point (except for one spot) and the canyon. I put my sentry there and put a teleporter exit behind it. I put the teleporter entrance in the canyon to the left of the cave exit where they don't notice it. If I see someone at the cave exit targeting my sentry like a demo or a soldier or a sniper I jump down and wrench them to death, then take the teleporter back up to where my sentry is. I love doing that to snipers.... I see the dot on my sentry so I jump down knowing they can't see me since they're in their scope. One hit with the wrench then a quick step over to the teleporter and I'm back next to my sentry before he's even in respawn.
Haha, those kinds of numbers are impossible to get on PC (unless you've been playing LazyTown LazyNight for hours). XBOX Demoman = very scary! The "nerfed" PC Demoman is still pretty powerful, I'd hate to have to play against "un-nerfed" Demoman again
heh well I don't average those numbers.....that's just a game where everything, and I mean everything, went in my favor. I got all 10 back stabs on a single life. You really can't do that without a good amount of luck. I've had other games where I'm below .500 on the kill/death ratio. Also, a majority of those players weren't Japanese. When I play with my Japanese friends I'm lucky to crack the top 10 out of 16 players.
Demo on 360 has like EIGHT grenade rounds right? On the PC version it was brought down to four, and each grenade was weakened as well...and STILL just two of them, if you're lucky, can wipe out an Engineer and all of his buildings...
I met a Japanese player on the PC version who was very angry all the time, called me an "American DEVIL" and told me to shove a hamburger up my ass.
This is more of a normal "good" game for me. I actually started out with 6 kills and 14 deaths....brutal. Everything was working against me in the beginning...heh.
I kinda wonder how well you'd play the PC version, since you seem to main Demo on the 360 version, who is overpowered to the point of being insane on it.
