    I d go to the launch anyway, even if i wasn't buying. Launches are always fun, and you get to meet new people!

    I did consider it, but then realised that I had 2 big deadlines for today- Damn uni getting in the way of my fun!

    damn uni indeed. I ve got 3 courseworks that count towards 100% of each subject and a damn exam comming up. ><

    If you look at that page now, PS3s account for twice the number of teraflops (342 to 151) that Windows PCs do, despite having one-tenth the amount of machines. It's pretty amazing.

    'Course, I'm also waiting until it has a few games that I want...

    My PS3 has done 3 work units since yesterday afternoon!

    I installed folding@home on my 1.8GHz AMD Turion64x2 laptop too, started running around 3am last night...now 11 hours later it's first work unit is at...4%.

    Word of warning, I checked out the watt useage when your ps3 is on standby (0 watts) compared to running (+203 watts!) compared to running F@H (+23 watts).

    So in the end your looking at 223 watt increase.

    with the ps3 , the FLOP per Watt ratio is a better deal than having your PC on:D

    My electrical useage is the least of my worries, I gave up on controlling the power bill a long time ago :lol:
