I'm a noob when it comes to Debug Kits, but everything that I've read states that a Debug Kit can support larger HDDs, but when I try to use XBpartioner to create an F partition on mine, I get the following message: !!!!!!!! WARNING !!!!!!!! LBA48 info not found! Custom Partitions will not work with this BIOS! Update your BIOS to one which supports at least LBA48 version 2. How do you go about opening an F partition on a Debug Kit?
limit 127GB....but you can use a PBL (phoenix Bios loader) and a executer bios after you can format and when you are in custom dashboard you HDD full recognize (not in debug dash).... Mine have 320 GB IDE WD made 2012.
Yeah, most people use Hack Devkit Bios or similar to get access to it, which messes with your saves which is why I tend to not recommend it. Easier to get a modded system with the extra ram and install the XDK launcher if you really need it.
Hack Devkit Bios doesnt actually change the actual bios on board and is easily deleted, but no, I havent actually gotten it to work otherwise. Not that I spent a whole lot of time trying as it doesnt serve much purpose for me.
How would one acquire the Hack Devkit files? All I'm finding online is this page, which only explains what it is and how to install it, but doesn't actually provide the files. Also, how exactly does this "mess with your saves"? Does applying these files suddenly corrupt your saves?
My understanding is the signing is different, so the files show as corrupt. If you removed the Hackdevkitbios, your saves would work again, except the saves you made while hacked wouldnt. Eurasia usually has it, or you can actually use one of the Xbins programs to get access to their server (or go the old fashioned way through IRC).
Alright, thanks. Grabbed it from Eurasia. I'll give it a shot and see if it works. Any other side effects I should know about with this hack? EDIT: Just installed the files, ran XBpartitioner to attempted to format an F partition and I still get the same error.
