With laptops you get what you pay for. This was £400 brand new christmas 2006. And by then it was about a year oldish laptop so it was obviously more expensive before. They're ment for portability but the few times this thing did get moved around it went on the blink.

3 days after I got it I went to my mothers. Got there and it wouldn't turn on. Dead motherboard. Got it back and it stayed on my desk without moving for a while.

Next time it got moved? Speakers went. got those repaired.

As soon as warranty went the speakers went again the keyboard died later and certain keys wouldn't work what so ever the touch pad got a scratch and went a bit weird. Good thing you could disable it with the click of a button near it.

I pampered this thing pretty much. I bought a nice metal Akasa undercooler to stop it over heating. An expensive padded targus laptop bag to stop it getting damage in transit (the few times it did get moved) and this thing STILL broke down. I cleaned it with compressed air if I ate near it. I didn't use it with greasy fingers and I never spilt anything on it.

Laptops are meant for portability but they just don't have the build quality.

You and nully both make me laugh because you've come into this thread unwantedly and you weren't instigated and attempted to be cunts based on a previous post you disagreed with. Maybe you two should start a business venture together. ''T.Roll and T.Roll professional trolls'' I can imagine you popping out from under a bridge and handing out business cards. Or maybe even commedians because you're definately both a set of jokes.

It wasn't directed at you at all.

The reason I'm fixing it up is purely sentimental value. Im probably not going to sell it. Hell it might look good on my desk.

Keep shit slinging because you don't have anything intelligent to add.

Sorry I didn't realise this thread was about that and your opinions.

But hey. This thread is for a relatively clean and not that old laptop that still works well. The other was for last ditch ''don't care about''components. If you'd like to point out where I mentioned water here feel free.

There are quite a few people in this thread that need to be fist fucked with a handful of rusty coat hangers..

You don't like his methods, don't use them.

In fact, you don't like his methods, voice your opinions in the proper thread.

You wanna be a no name poster that hops from thread to thread being an ass hole then take it somewhere else.
