Does anyone know of any websites I can order some Japanese food and have it shipped to America? Some kid gave me some Pocky things at school to try so now I want to get some more and try some other things like instant noodles and other candy/snacks. I googled but didn't find anything besides http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com. Does anyone know if they are reputable?

Theres always Cup-O-Noodles and Instant Lunch, those are both by Japanese companies, Nissin and Maruchan. I think you can buy those just about anywhere. Unless you find your shop IN Japan, likely you won't find "Japanese" packaging. Anyways, ramen is about as Japanese as curry.

For otaku (UGH!) food stapes, shop here:

    Edit: Tachi beat me

For shame, they don't have BLACK Crunky.

Does anyone know if the site I mentioned is legit? They seem to have the best prices and the products are already imported to America so the shipping is cheap and fast.

I've heard of them and I would trust them. All shops like that are frowned upon by me though ;) Especially when they're from San Fran!

It's the stereotypical "asian" online shop. They likely purchase the goods from a Japanese market downtown and get the rest from a supermarket. If I'm going to buy Japanese products online, I'd go for stuff thats actually from Japan, not crap distributed by JFC international. For example, I just bought a $9 bottle of organic Kikkoman shoyu... It looks like a fine site for snacks and instant soups, just don't choose a Korean bowl thinking it's Japanese haha.

Also their "Make sushi like the pros" kit is disturbing to me. It's like calling a can of Chun King chow mein Chinese food.

That makes sense. Anything specific I should stay away from? All I am interested in is soups and snacks anyway.

Just about all the snacks are Japanese, all the soups from left to right until Cup Noodles are Japanese, the rest are Chinese/Korean besides I assume "Myojo Chuka Zanmai". I've actually had all the Korean ones and wasn't impressed. Yakisoba are Chinese style noodles, Cup Noodles are exactly what they are here, Demae cup I've never heard of nor have I of Noodle King. They apparently are Chinese brands.

Maybe you should ask Yakumo to get you high quality ramen/udon bowls, I don't remember all the brands but I can remember getting packages that come out restaurant quality (and better in some cases) for <$2 ;) If you pay $3 or more for an instant lunch, you'll be taken care of, while these imported dehydrated soup bowls will come out similar to a $0.20 Cup O Noodles.

High quality ramen is about $5 a bowl or more sometimes.

Xylene thats a fucking lie. You have to go to river road in Edgewater NJ. There is this place called Mitsuma which has a real ramen shop (get #5) and there is a big japanese supermarket among other stores in the plaza.

According to Tach that's not much of a problem in the UK, quite unlike Holland I might add where it costs about 3 euros a bottle (33cl).
But what we do have in Amsterdam is a small Japanese shopping center, I stumbled upon it by accident but they sell Pocky's, Calpis, and even Japanese PC games :-D
