Potential problems/significant differences off the top of my head:

    - Controls: touchscreen, analog stick
    - Graphics: widescreen, dual screen, graphics capabilities
    - Processing power
    - Sound
    - Storage: UMD & memory stick vs. DS cart
    - Battery life (yes, this is a consideration)
    - Multiplayer
    - Programming: languages, middleware compatibility

While both platforms can seem similar in that they are handhelds, they have very different capabilities. For some things, porting or designing for both platforms is simple. Others, it may not be feasible. Take for example the DS controls. If a game is specifically designed to be touchscreen interactive, it may completely kill the experience to change it to a D-pad & thumbstick interaction scheme. Likewise, adding in extra control schemes "just because its there" doesn't always work (e.g. ported Wii games with unnecessary/unusable motion controls slapped on).

Thanks for putting that into perspective. While i understand what your saying, most of square's DS titles are RPG's. The only touchscreen controls i could see them having is using the touchscreen for the battle menus. I definately agree with you on the fact that a majorty of DS games would take a lot of work to port to the PSP, if even feasible to be put on the PSP, but squares RPG's dont seem like it would take much to port. But you do seem to know a lot more than I do about this subject, so ill take your word for it:icon_bigg

they were alright. One of them includes TMNT the arcade game. But the 3D one that's 4Player isn't as good as the 2 player one.

I say we need more 16 bit titles or remakes in the vein of bionic commando re-armed and Street Fighter HD. How great would a sonic 2 HD be

I'm much more interested in new games in the old retro style, than HD remakes of old games.
