From IGN: (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/700/700381p1.html) "In addition to retail titles, the ever-popular Xbox Marketplace was also brought up. So far there have been 52,000 downloads from Japan, Sensui revealed. Along with the Marketplace comes the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA), for which SNK, Konami and Bandai Namco and Yukes will provide content. A Bandai Namco rep took the stage to announce that Pac-Man and Galaga wil be will be available for download on the service in Japan. A demo of Pac-Man was played after the announcement. It looked exactly like the classic arcade game, but with high-resolution borders. All the usual Xbox Live arcade features, including leaderboards, will be included."
RR6 had Pac-Man built in as it's opening boot up game/unlockable. I wonder if this is based on the same code.
You and the guy on the bus that smells like cabbage and talks to himself. I can't wait to show these Pac rookies my new avatar!
Just as long as it isn't yet another port of that crappy Namco Classics version. It had a stuttery feel and just didn't look right.
This is great news... how else would anyone be able to play these rare games if they weren't released on Xbox360?
What's the big deal about Pacman and Galaga being on the 360? Are they free? Nothing to get excited about as far as I can see. Yakumo
I still have Pacman on my Atari 2600, so only reason I could see myself getting it would be to save my hands from hurting!!!
I can't wait to spend hundreds of pounds on a new console so I can finally play next-gen games like Pacman!
