Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm looking for a clear photo of the three-pronged Panasonic M2 controller (the one that very closely resembles the Nintendo 64 controller): ^ That's the best image I've managed to find. I've searched the internet and have had no luck at all. I've also searched through the topics here at Assembler without finding anything. Does anyone know if these controllers have ever appeared on ebay? Anyway, if anybody has a link to an image I'd be very grateful. Thanks.
This is about the best I could find: It's a bit more clear than the ones in the photo you have provided. Though, I'm sure someone else on these boards can provide an even better one, I hope this will do for the time being.
i think the m2 retail unit had some icons of the n64 style controller but i am not sure gotta check but will need some time came back from munich yesterday and havent unpacked everything till now
Alien Workshop: That's a much better image than I had, thanks! Does anyone know when those M2 controllers were unveiled? It would have been very close to the N64 and I've never managed to work out who revealed their controller first! On the off chance anyone does happen to have an even clearer image... please post!
Question is, though, is that a mockup? If so then I'd say it's an obvious rip off of the N64 controller. Considering the M2 itself was basically a mockup, I bet that controller is too.
they had both PSX-esque and N64-like controllers for the M2 - the Steering Wheel part around the D-pad is unique as far as I know though to this mockup.
hehe writing again I see? FYI there was a controller sold in the marketplace the other day albeit in pieces: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32702
I am indeed, actually! Just a short 2 page feature. I've still got the photos Zappenduster supplied me with, but I've never seen any collector photos of the 3 pronged controller. I'm mentioning the ASSEMbler community as a primary source of info on this subject, so you may get a slew of new users.
