Here is the M2 gaming console shown off by Panasonic at various gaming shows of the mid 1990's. Here is some software running on the console. This software came with the unit and control pad. I got extremely lucky on this lot. Some of these demos were photographed and shown in various gaming magazines of the time. I'll try to get some images of the other demo's as time permits. Here is the BIOS screen. Here is an intro to one of several iterations of the Dolphin demo. Here is another system demo. Here is the "M2 Racer" demo. Here is a system performance demo.
Will do, but it might be awhile. ;-) I've been looking for nearly ten years for one of the M2 gaming units that was used by Panasonic at trade shows. Never really expected to find one, so this is an absolute holy grail for me.
I never thought this could have existed beyond the 90's when it was being shown off at various events so to see some proper photo's of it along with the controller is excellent. Of course i do wish i owned it but to be honest it's great that someone from assembler has it and is showing it off.
This took me longer to get to than I thought, but I finally got at least one video up. Here is the ApeBot demo: ApeBot Video Link
Jaw dropping ! Thanks for sharing. ASSEMbler: This machine deserves an icon on the post icons menu...
The next M2 video is up. This video showcases the dolphin introduction that was pictured in all kinds of video gaming magazines of the mid 1990's. Here is the video link followed by some magazine scans from the time: Dolphin Introduction Video
