My condolences to everyone affected by this cowardly, pointless attack on the civilized world.

    This is a tragedy.

The only reason that these attacks don't happen in the USA is because the middle east is too far away.

Meilleurs voeux, on se sent si impuissant de loin.

En espérant qu'il n'y ait pas d'escalade de haine ou de violence.

I'm guessing this would the the beginning of the end of the "refugee" crisis.

I grew up in the exact place where dozen of people died yesterday. My Familly and friends are safe but I join you in the prayer for all the victims and their famillies, and also for the people who died in Egypt and Beyrouth few days ago,....

Violence is everywhere, as these cowards are. No religion can allow this to happen. And the refugees leave their country because of these violences. Poor stupid world....

The news took me aback as well. Condolences and support go out. Accomplishing nothing yet destroying everything for some = terrorism.

Never said anything about any religion. However, actual border checks would not hurt. According to the UN a refugee is someone who moved from a war torn country to the first peaceful country. As soon as he leaves that first peaceful country (turkey, greece, macedonia, romania etc) he is no longer a refugee. At that moment he is an economical migrant.

I wonder why you quote my post. I never said anything related to your post.

You didn't directly refer to me or my post, no. Still, seeing as I was the only one talking about refugees and how your post came directly after mine it becomes rather obvious that you are indeed indirectly refering to my post. Very diplomatic. Despite this you did mention refugees which is directly related to my post. Never say never, eh?

Trust me, I wasn't refering to your post. I didn't even read it before posting. The refugee theme is linked to the attacks by our medias, this is why I had few words about that.

Anyway, it is another sad day so there is no reason to start arguying like this.

Don't mix the refugee in with that. That's an act of terror that would have happened regardless of the refugee situation or not. Let's keep those discussions for the political thread, and this thread for support.

I hope everybody that's in that turmoil get safe and at peace. I'm legitimately afraid of how the French political right wing will try to use that situation. I hope it won't start an even bigger turmoil.

According to UN's definition of a refugee they stopped being refugees the moment they left the first safe country. They're economical migrants, and that's a completely different thing. It wouldn't have happened regardless of the migrant situation, unless you have some inside information to prove otherwise.
It's already been proven that isis terrorists have entered europe hiding among the migrants. This was possible due to the complete abscence of actual customs controls. This is not politics, only facts. Me personally, I vote for socialists - not for the right. I am an immigrant myself. What I'm saying has zero to do with racism, xenophobia or politics.

May those who've lost their lives rest in peace and may their loved ones find strength to go on.

I don't care this isn't the place, put that in the political thread. I might agree or not with you on thousands of topics, but we should not discuss here.

This is flame war bait and its not appropriate in a support thread, by respect.

I'm not going to put these posts in the political thread as they have zero to do with politics and everything to do with the attacks. I'm also not going to continue this conversation, 'cause I agree that it's flame bait, so you can rest easy.

I wonder what stricter border controls and a stop of accepting thousands of refugees are supposed to change when a handful of guys decide to go out and kill people. Terrorists like Mohammed Atta and IS leadership figure Jihadi John were strongly integrated into society of their host countries, they were sleepers who could not be targeted by policies except if you ask for policies against anyone who 'may seem like a threat against the establishment', aka gestapo tactics that help no one. Populist bullshit.
