Can I just point out that she & I are not related, although my full name is seriously close as I too was named after a famous hotel chain "Parris HolidayInn". thanks!
Looks like she's now back out. Paris lands house arrest deal thanks to 'medical condition' 07/06/2007 - 16:08:05 Jailed socialite Paris Hilton was released from prison today due to a "medical condition" and will spend the rest of her sentence under house arrest, the sheriff’s department said. The hotel heiress served just three days of her 45-day sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in suburban Los Angeles for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. However, LA County Sheriff’s department spokesman Steve Whitmore said her time in jail totalled five days - explaining to bemused reporters that she arrived just before midnight on Sunday night and left just after midnight this morning. The 26-year-old has been fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet and will now serve the remaining 40 days of her sentence under house arrest in her luxurious pad. The star of 'The Simple Life' reality TV show pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge in January and was sentenced to 36 months’ probation. When she was later pulled over by the California Highway Patrol, Hilton was told that she was driving on a suspended licence and signed a document acknowledging she was not to drive. She was then pulled over by sheriff’s deputies on February 27 and charged with violating probation.
Yakumo, she's back in again! The judge was none too pleased at the Sheriff 'reassigning' her to house arrest, especially since he'd explicitly forbidden that in the court order. It's funny - I did originally misread the thread title as Parris lands on go to jail...
No, the original judgement was overturned as apparently Paris Hilton was showing signs of severe stress. She had been placed under house arrest, but the original judge overturned the overturning. So, she was snapped up and plonked right back in jail. Her sentence had originally been reduced from 45 to 20 odd days, but the sentence was actually increased to the original length. She really should have kept her mouth shut!
It was pretty poor that she even managed to make it out of jail just for the night. I hope she enjoys that nice hot creamy bowl of justice that she'll be eating for the next 3 while being fondled by her cell mate 'Butch'. (yes i know she is in her own special cell )
There's no way she's in general population. She's going to sit there in her own cell all day long. She wouldn't survive a day otherwise.
However it is quite nice to think that she is not allowed any "care" products for the next 45 days. I suspect several stores and the cosmetic industry will find the coming month rather difficult as they struggle without her financial input. On the other hand, she might be turfed out of the jail looking rather rank... that would be sufficient justice imo.
But she didn't do the Crime her publicist told her she did nothing wrong......... Dumb bitch. Why can't she be more like Nicky? Nicky the Hilton that we don't really like but we don't hate her so much we want to give her the same fate as Steve Buschemi in Fargo.
