FYI; SFIV didnt run on SEGA's Lindbergh but on TAITO's X2. Fun fact: the early ports of this game were straight ports, including the X2 service menu's
I stumbled across a dump of Silent Hill Arcade, it's XP based game but i haven't got a clue what to do with it. If you run it you just get an error screen saying "Low Control Error: PC and an I/O board cannot be communicated.", which i can figure out means it's looking for the light guns and isn't getting them, but is there a way to trick it like MAME does into thinking the mouse is the light gun? This might be a stupid question, i really haven't got a clue about arcade cabinets and their workings, but it never hurts to ask.
Some entitled beggars in this thread. Also, The original version of the game is on Type X; the updated version is on Nesica.
Have any other games been dumped yet? Would love to see Wangan 3 and Silent Hill Arcade running on my emulator PC....
Ooohh! thats good news that it's been dumped. I also discovered that Battle Gear 4 (Taito Type X+) has been dumped but also doesn't work yet. Only a matter of time until these are playable i think....
Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma - now that, we need dumped. It's Taito Type X-based too, so it should be a reasonably painless process for those with the right contacts, hardware and such.
Yah, you need someone who is willing to break their lease contract and crack the Nesica Live protection so you can play the game for free lol Seriously, too many entitled people in this thread. Realize that this is a business especially for newly released titles.
There's plenty of awesome Konami PC games like GTI Club Supermini Festa, Lethal Enforcers 3, Coopers 9, and Action Cop. Most of these games (except for LE3 and GTI Club which came out as a terrible port on Wii) doesn't have an American release, because it may be too expensive to afford that board. I hope the Gun issue in Silent Hill Arcade will be fixed soon, if not, contact someone from MAME and they will help you. Relay link-up on PC Hardware is not a big issue because its all LAN that either connects to other computer or sometimes wireless adapter. For Jubeat games, they have two monitors connected to the PC just like you did with Pinmame. Because one of the monitors has a multi-touch screen monitors for play.
I suspect the problem is the I/O board the game uses is custom and will have to be emulated/interpreted/whatever. And, yes, Shou is right, too many entitled people in this thread. BBCP will not be dumped for a very long time, as most Japanese operators will not willingly be a party to what is basically piracy. I can, however, tell you that the protection that is likely used on Nesica titles is not much better than the existing method of the standard Type X2.
