Arcade protections by default are total shit. Only game that gave some Headache to fully unwrap the binary was Initial D6AA. I don't think anyone else has unwrapped it yet. You can run it sure but cannot modify game code.
Hey i have just found the silent hill the arcade dumped for pc and with mouse support and runs well on my lightgun dedicated cabinet, which has a p4 inside with a crt monitor and two ps2 guns working with wingun software for xp. I have seen you are doing something similar with other games isn't it? Can the gun games you said, paradise lost, aliens, big buck hunt.... be downloaded from anywhere? thenks!
Hi guys. What about Namco 246 arcade board? The one based off of the PS2 architecture? Would love to play Ridge Racer V Arcade Battle with proper force feedback someday
Don't hold your breath for this one. Protection is still studied and barely understood, and it uses a special bios.
Hey, I have a Simplified Chinese version program MaiMai which running on RingEdge2. I can't decrypt it.Here is the image file. Can you help me to decrypt it?
I can't post reply due to the download url. Here I have a Simplified Chinese version music game called MaiMai running on RingEdge2 platform. In order to avoid the spam detector please send me a message if you want to get the raw iso data. We tried to make a copy of this disk but failed. If you have tools to decrypt it , please tell us.
Yea I know that. But SEGA is giving up China market. The JingWen Sega co,ltd has closed at earlier this year,a music game needs frequently update. We have no choice. If nothing unexpected happens, this will be the last update of Wumeng(Chinese version MaiMai). The MaiMai overseas (Version Green) has periodic update per week and the program is totally different to the mainland China version. We cannot get updates and the company has gone.So we find help for carck it.
Leave the policing to the mods Jitterdoomer. If the game is discontinued as Woodu has said then it's acceptable. Silent Hill Arcade is shared in the downloads section and it's totally fine because it's support is discontinued.
It's kinda ironic that Windows XP (The OS that Silent Hill: The Arcade ran on) was discontinued until now.
The platform or OS has no real relevance in arcade matters, the software support is whats looked at given that all arcade machines since the early 2000's are basically just PC's in a box. Is the company still selling the arcade cabinet and/or supporting the game, that's what matters. Konami no longer sell or support SHA directly so it's allowed here, and as Woodu has said Sega are no longer selling or supporting the game he needs help with so it too is fine. If a game was dumped with the OS included, like a hard drive mirror, the OS would be taken into account then. And again, you aren't a moderator, why you're telling people in private and public what they can and can't discuss here is a mystery when you seem confused on it yourself. Woodu, i don't know if the game can be rendered playable, besides the RingEdge 2 system not being figured out yet (to my knowledge) you might also require a security dongle and/or a valid license to connect to SegaNET. It would be worth keeping the disc though.
So other ringwide/ringedge game develop by sega jinwin such as Let's go island will be release in public several month later?
