J'ai eu le système par un de mes contacts au Japon qui a réussis à rentrer en contact avec un ancien employé de NEC Avenue.
I was tracing through some custom CD read routines(not the system card ones) of Seiya Monogatari for a side project when I came across some interesting code. Anyway, before calling the custom CD read routine, the game checks $FFF5 ($1ff5 in rom) of the system card main lib bank. This is always set to $80 (for bank $80) for automatic bank setting routine. Curiously I change the value to something else and followed the code. Low and behold it jumped to a different CD read function (one with no delays for reading from the port). I talked with Charles MacDonald about his dev super system card and it uses a different memory layout and does not start with $68 but much lower. So it looks like there's some left over particular dev code in some later SCD/ACD games. Some of the ISO's have pieces of text in them describing CD base emulation system using a hard drive setup and the hu7 references. Has anyone see pics of any CD dev systgems?
Bump? Any chance to dig out this SGX dev kit? Are you now willing to share the name of your unreleased PCE stuffs? or hints could do as well... Sabre
