    Chip getting hot ?
    NOT GOOD !!!

I think you connected V1 of the component "chip" to a leg of the chip, or is that a lose wire ?

    PIN 72, 73
Also the green and the yellow wire on the right side are of to the side, not on top.

I used PATA hard disk flat cable wire for such projects.
Non twisted wire, the 80 pin version.
    https://kids.kiddle.co/Parallel_ATA

    CLEAN the board !
There is so much brown gunk EVERYWHERE you worked.

    In a ultra sonic cleaner.

    Also check @ 32:02

The Scart to HDMI converter you got.
I got the same one, CRAP !!

You got a original Xbox, the first one ?
Emulation for the time being ?

The PC Engine GT is a bit "sick and fragile" at the moment. (good luck)

Softmod or a simple chip in it.

PATA to sata converter and a 2,5" hdd ?

Set the Xbox to NTSC (after modding) video output for 1080I !
Or buy a NTSC format Xbox and use a component cable for optimal video signal.

    Very nicely mods !
    Looks like a "disco"
    Pimped !
    A midget disco !!!

Where did you get those wireless controllers, brand / model, work good ?

    I got these logitech.
    http://www.sports-gaming.com/hardware/logitech_xbox_controller/review.php
    :D

    I got one of these.
    https://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/81d75d30ca85e85e8277f3513bf74695/5D430302/t51.2885-15/e35/51119606_407657563376067_5618121836290499204_n.jpg?_nc_ht=scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com&ig_cache_key=MTk3OTczMTYwODQ3MDgwNTAyOQ==.2

And a few crystal clear (non original) cased, a few original non modified case models, and one brand new in the box.

Not sure if I want to, or need to modify one to 128 MB, could be done "easily" I got the right equipment and experience.

haha , ya many lights i like it ;)

the controller is very bad quality in fact although it was from a good 3rd part but forgot it, the aim was to add leds with varying lights similar to ps4 and i did it.

nice xbox you got , congratulations.

now about my pc engine gt, i cleaned it throughly last night no traces of flux, same behavior, works flawlessly for 2 minutes, then starts flickering, glitching.. the caps are of good quality from their looks, what could be misbehaving in minutes of operation? is it the power supply I use? old Chinese with selection dc voltage, 1000 mamps..

    no clue

    ESR of the capacitors ?
The cheap aliexpress meter should be able to measure that.
    "Flawless for 2 minutes"
Is something charging, a capacitor ?
    Polarity of capacitors checked ?
    Is something getting hot ?

I hope this will work out for you.
    Good luck.

    update :

by disconnectdis rgb wires , the flickering issue got solved, picture stable , little noise on lcd but looks fine , but for those who did it before, isnt this supposed to fill the screen? why having black border? and is this clarity the max i get ? i mean clarity not brightness and color pots 20190326_214102.jpg

update: working fine , loving the console already

but slight noise on screens , both of screens, mainly the lcd , proportional to the sound, looks like i need a clean power source.. i will see what can be done..

next , region free , controller port, finally i will c if i can connect RGB to alternative points , and check whats wrong with the board I assembled.. if no luck , AV out is just beautiful 20190326_230813.jpg

"but slight noise on screens , both of screens, mainly the lcd , proportional to the sound"

The battery terminal was already broken ?
Could it be, that the batteries "flatten" the current ?

You are missing the RF shield !
    Right ?
    o_O

Did the caps for the audio circuit change in value ?
Louder sound since capacitor change ?
I read it in one of the links I already gave.
Sorry I do not remember which one.

Did you clean the board and shorten / change the wires to the chips ? (80 pin PATA)
The ends of exposed copper wire are VERY LONG !!!

Anyhow, AWESOME you got it working this far ........"mechanical engineer"
    More a guru .....

    Remember your first post ?

"anyway thats not the matter, i seek help, i found that battery springs are broken so i used a 6v dc power supply for testing and all what i get is screen lights up, but no response at all, brightness doesn't work, games don't, its recapped already, battery cable was cut internally, I paid a fortune for it , so I just hope its not totally dead"

Hi, Yes battery springs were broken and some are missing, I will try it out by some other springs and see.
Caps of Audio are of same value as original , but the Audio is nice, quite loud in fact for a built in speaker.

what is the significance of the RF shield ? I can try making one from any metal sheets taken from other consoles if it matters.

Thanks a lot for your support all over, and yaaa I read it now and see how far it got :D , hahaha :)

Haven’t read much of the log, but do you have the proper amperage on the power supply? Definitely invest in a bench power supply, it’s a god send for these situations of not having rare OEMs.

nope didn't check its actual amperage, and honestly didn't check its voltage recently, but I remember that when I put it on 9v to use it (sometimes) for my mega drive 1, it was reading 18 V and heats up like anything, only that its my friend for the past 18 years at least so I keep using it because its in sight evertime :)

i will make a bench power supply, I bought most of tools already..

    thanks

Just check the OEM then yours to compare, could be simply underpowered at this point.

Both of mine do that when the sound is turned up high, I think it’s power related, I usually use a PSP ac with these because my original ac was stolen years ago
