    Well, If there's interest in that being done so people don't have to monkey with the date I'll take a look at it I've done some x86 reversing but this is probably a bit different considering it's an older architecture.

    I believe there was a Doom prototype with a date protection that had a patch to fix it

    Yeah, that's the Press Release beta of Doom. It was later given a public release, which was cracked by pioneer Lee Killough. He made the Fakedate program.
