Don't tell me. I'm going to give this some serious attention rather than just blasting through it like most games. Yakumo
apparently after some searching, Dracula X was also released on the SNES (being the final Castlevania on the SNES) whereas the one I beat was the MSX's NES port, the very first game in the series.
Dracula X on Snes is very much in the vein of Super Vailis IV versus the PC Engine one. Its rearranged and extremely cut down version..
PC-Engine: Dracula X (Ronde of Blood) Super Famicom: Dracula XX (Good, but not as good. Much harder me thinks) Saturn/Playstation: Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku (the Metroid style reboot of the series) ...etc. The PC-Engine versionhas been touted as the best game in the series for quite some time. The only one that comes close is PS version of of Gekka (SOTN). Different style game though.
Dracula X used the save ram in the PC-Engine. And the remake and the VC do the same. The SNES Dracula X has a password feature.
No harm in getting a Turbo Duo and lighting yourself up with the original... although it's pricey. It is indeed worth it though.
mandrake in kokura have the original for 7000 yen if someone is interested in it. Don't think it has a spine card though. Yakumo
A lot. YOu can get cheap ones for about 3000 yen but they'll be in bad shape and more often than not have dead lasers. A good one will cost you the best part of 50 pounds. Yakumo
50pounds is fair game as far as I m concerned - provided I can sell a couple of paintings in the upcomming weeks since I really need to buy a car!
I have a Dracula X which is missing the back insert that I'd let go cheap. The system really has some fantastic games. Do yourself a favor and get one.
